I happened on one of my high traffic hubs this morning... and there was a warning at the top about excessive tags. I'd previously removed tags and the warning had gone. So I wouldn't normally have had a reason to check it again.
Without viewing the hub, there is no way to know there is a warning on the hub. Can we please have some sort of symbol or notification on the main hub list/or an email?
When you have over 100 hubs, it's not that easy to manually check each one for warnings!
I agree that would be a nice feature. I came across one yesterday that had "too many tags". I have no idea how long the warning has been there, because I had not visited (except for answering comments)for a year and a half.
Good idea! I was unaware that they were even doing that but like you say, it would be hard to go back and check all the hubs once we have hundreds of them.
Have they dropped the tag limit again? It used to be unlimited, then it was down to 40. I rarely go over 10 tags anyway.
I have no idea what the tag limit is. I now try and keep them to around 15 or so. Does anyone know the answer to the question of WHAT IS THE LIMIT?
Hey Peggy,
Last time I heard, it was up to 20 tags for articles up 1500 words. Articles over 1500 words up to 40 tags.
If you have an article with 40 tags, but is less than 1500 words, the it is most likely to be flagged for excessive tagging.
As Darkside said- it was unlimited at one point, then was reduced to 40. Which was what I remember Maddie Ruud saying in another forum thread.
And, yes, I'll agree, some sort of signal/symbol or an email would be good, so hubbers can avoid problems.
I just happened across a couple of mine that were tagged as having too many tags. I agree that a warning symbol in the account page would be handy.
Same here! I change those I happen upon, but like everyone else, I wish there were some sort of notification on our account page!
I would like to know what the tag limit is as well, and have a notification symbol on our account page. How does having too many tags affect our hubs?

Okay, so I had the habit of using the share button to routinely share my new or even some of my old hubs with my followers. Well, when I tried to share my last one, I got a warning, I don't quite remember the words, but is said in effect that it was frowned upon. Well I missed that point in...

There has been a discussion thread about this, but I just wanted to alert other Hubbers to it.You will receive a warning email about some rule violations - but for some, your Hub will show a warning on the Hub itself, but you'll get no email. So you need to fix these issues up now, don't wait till...

There should be a tab for sent messages or sent fan mail. I cannot find this anywhere on the site. Thanks!

I have been tweaking this hub, and today, found a "warning: this hub has a large number of tags..." message...So??? I thought a lot of tags was a good thing....too few is bad = no traffic. This is one of my more popular hubs.I was given to understand that you can tag...

I thought I knew the answer to this question. But something interesting happened in the last week which I found it hard to explain. I'd be interested to hear opinions.I have a hub which is nine months old and had just reached 250-300 hits per day.I was experimenting to see how many tags I could use...
