There should be a tab for sent messages or sent fan mail. I cannot find this anywhere on the site. Thanks!
LOOKING FOR "SENT MESSAGES AND SENT FAN MAIL" THE KEY WORD HERE IS "SENT"
I sent someone fan mail but there is no record of it on HUB or my email acct. Weird
Lost in space?
That's a good idea. I also kind of wish we received a notification when we receive fan mail. You have to check "Activity" in My Account to see if you have fan mail. I think people easily overlook this, it would be easier if we received a notification.
I also agree with the notification. Thanks for noticing and responding.
I must of checked something at sometime cause I always get notification when I get fan mail or someone new follows me etc.
I'm going to have to check my settings. Do you get the notifications here at HP or are you talking about your email?
I was thinking here at HP at the top right of our homepage where it says notifications; or the feed. It would be handy. I don't check my email from HP very much. Probably should.
Edit: Actually, doesn't have to be our homepage, those navigation drop-downs are always up there, on every page.
I heard Gilda Radner's voice when I read that.
I read her autobiography back in '99. It was good.
She was great, one of my favorites. I've learned a little about her life from documentaries, but haven't read her autobiography. I'm certain I'd like it, I'll have to look it up.
I wasn't a huge fan of her work... though I liked it just fine. I was just kind of young. Sixth grade maybe, when she was at the height of her career. I just like ppl's stories. Her's seemed kind of sad to me. I remember wondering if Gene Wilder really loved her. It was a good book. Let me know if you ever read it... we'll talk.
To be honest, I was exaggerating when I said she was one of my favorites; I know that sounds wishy-washy now, but I'm groggy (just woke up, not too articulate). However, I find her interesting and there's something about her I like. I was a kid when she was on SNL and I can definitely think of way better comedians than most of those old "players", with the exception of Bill Murray, he always remains very funny and entertaining to me. I do actually want to check out Radner's autobiography, I like celebrity autobiographies. One I'd recommend is Michael J. Fox's autobiography called Lucky Man. It's good, he's an interesting guy and makes some major statements in that book; about life in general and his life particularly.
Id love to read that one, I remember thinking I was going to marry him (Fox) in the 8th grade. He was not a good choice for me, b/c I am 5'8", he was 7 years older and he was a huge star that would have been jailed for having an interest in 8th graders, but he was snarky so I liked him.
You're right, Bill Murray was hilarious and he makes such good movie choices.
Yes, what I like about Murray is his movies; the more obscure ones I really like, like Lost in Translation and Broken Flowers; he's great in those. Plus, I like his appearances on Letterman.
I am kind of glad you did not pursue your romantic interest in Michael J Fox, because he could have ended up in prison rather than making movies and writing autobiographies.
He ended up doing quite well for himself with Tracy.
Yes, Lost in Translation was good. I loved Rushmore. I don't know if I've seen Hyde Park on the Hudson yet... I tend to watch things then forget that Ive seen them, but it looks good too. Get Low was good... and when I was in high school, I LOVED The Razor's Edge. Did you ever see that one? (Ill have to see Broken Flowers, I hadn't heard of it. It looks good.)
Razor's Edge is really good. It's been years since I've seen it, but what I remember was it was very real; hate to use that word, but it's the best word I can think of to describe it right now. I have not seen those other movies yet. I think Murray has a good range, as far as his acting goes. It's always impressed me.
Yea! Now we're movie buddies.
I went to the movies with one boy in high school all the time. It didn't occur to me till years later that he might have considered those as dates. He invited me to some dance and we went. I was always like, "Yea! We're movie buddies." I feel that most of my life I have been a bit obtuse. He married a beautiful woman with really good teeth though, so I'm not worried about it.
When I first glanced at your comment, my mind immediately interpreted "married a beautiful woman with really good teeth" as a reference to Michael J Fox's wife, because, strangely enough, I think she has lovely teeth. I am ashamed to admit this, too, I had to Google the word "obtuse".
This is going to sound weird, but I truly agree with you about her jaw. I have a thing about face shape, I've written about it rather extensively (again, sounds like a joke, but it's actually true).
You usually receive a notification in your email.
You may also frequently check it yourself by going to:
My Account; click on Activity; and you will see the first one highlighted in green; next is Fan Mail, click on that - you have a list of fan mail that you received.
"sent messages or sent fan mail" per previous message.
Go to My Account; Following; Hubbers You Follow; when the list comes up, click on their name and then their Fan Mail and scan down until you see your name - you will see the fan mail which you sent.
I tried that a few times. If that's the case, the receiver must have deleted it. Your response is greatly appreciated, take care.

Yea, not big on posting. I wanted to comment on Gravity is Magnetism, and some theoretical physics. I would like to be a little more involved and I will contribute when I can. Thanks for the warm welcome.
We used to get something that popped up on our activity when we someone started following us, or when we got new fan mail. I must say, I miss it.
Until they figure out a way to do that you can always copy fan mail and messages sent. You can paste them in your word processor where you can also add a date and time sent if it's not too consuming for you. Hope that helps. -
Oh, copy the entire info such as who it is to before sending it of course.

Naturally, receiving any fan mail is great. I tend to take things literally though so before posting, the question to tell the world what I think of that author stares me in the face and I write a mini recommendation. On the other hand, any fan mail received is more of a personal message or thanks....

Is anyone else getting a lot of people requesting you to follow them in the fan mail comments?I have had about three people recently leave comments that ask me some variation of "Follow me because I have have followed you." My first reaction is to deny the fan mail and to not follow...
