What is your SEO Strategy? How do you choose topics which have low competition and are likely to get you more traffic and revenue.

It depends on what you categorise as low.

While I can be proven wrong, low competition would likely mean low traffic and/or low revenue.

Find a balance in the numbers that you would be happy with would mean you have to search for the keywords yourself, based on things that YOU are interested in writing about.

So it's not a question that any individual can answer appropriately.

    My strategy is to:

    1. read a book on SEO to learn on-page optimization (done)

    2. do keyword research with the Google keyword tool (I usually do it unless the hub is going to be something like a personal rant.)

    3. write articles on blogs and third party sites with do-follow backlinks (nothing spammy; I feel I need to do quality work no matter where I'm posting... to make it worthwhile for the site owners.)

I try to do SEO but I confess, I haven't found any key words that I would like to write about.  Maybe, since I keep writing, I will stumble into some key words.
