I thought it was very interesting. He says a blog in the make money online niche was recently pulled by Google (Blogspot) and that they seem to be more vigilant about investigating high earners.

Must be a good thing really?  Google surely just wants to deliver the best exeprience possible to the end user.

If you haven't read it, it's worth a look. Just search on Griz blog and you'll find his 'make money for beginners' blog.

I'd love to hear what more technically minded hubbers think.

Thank you, I will check it out now.

I was making good money on a site that shared their Google adsense revenue, but when it came time to pay me and they didn't, I questioned them. So did several other people. (There was suppose to be a bug and no one got paid for Oct. 2009 until later.)

Those of us who asked why we didn't get paid had our accounts deleted and we weren't paid. We were told their experience with us was not good and that they had the right to delete our accounts and withhold payment for any reason and without notice.

Hi Deborah smile   I just watched the video he's embedded. Man, it's worth it for that alone. Excellent.

And the 'other site' sounds like a total bs artist. Why would they think they could ditch your work at any time and not pay out monies owed?

          Audreva,

Thanks for pointing this out. Though Grizzly's blog is in my feed reader, I seldom read it. But coming from him, this is a real eye-opener. I guess everyone here should read it. I do not think HP would mind if I put in a link here.

Hopefully I don't have to worry about this since I don't even know what he's talking about! Is it really perfectly clear to most of you?

Very interesting article! Times are a changing indeed. I still see a lot of garbage ranking well though so they still have some work to do on that end.

The site that Grizzly talked about earlier, is back online, and mostly WITHOUT any change! How can someone manage to do THAT?

The guy probably deleted his blog himself just to get more notoriety. It is very easy to delete your Blogspot blog temporarily and then bring it back.

I was never a member of Griz, but it is good to know that Google is vigilant about stopping those types of abuses. I hope the people that Griz owes money to are able to recover their losses.

After reading griz's post I'm glad I have put very little effort into my new blog. A self hosted blog seems to be a much better option now. I'm glad I own domains and can easily install my own blog software. I never liked being in a position to count on others and this is why.

(NB - not a chronic bumper & have no connection to Griz other than reading the blog sometimes)

I loved the video.   It highlighted exactly why I gave up trying to make a living at this.

I felt uncomfortable about adding to the repetitive junk that's clogging the internet, and that's what you have to do. Creating blogs with crap content just so you can get backlinks.  Spinning the same information thousands of times to create different articles.  I know everyone else is doing it, but it's a bit like saying it's OK to throw litter on the street because there's already litter there.

I'm not working at the moment so I need to improve my online income - so I've decided to try to stop worrying and be prepared to try various promotional techniques as part of the 60 day challenge.  But I still feel a bit conflicted about it.  If it's really true that kind of stuff won't work any more, I for one would be somewhat relieved.

      Me, too.

Except for that I was just considering giving it a try.

Ah well, saved from that moral dilemna.

Me three. The further I get into it the more I worry about the whole thing.

It's like a piece of the puzzle is missing.

I am a huge fan of Griz. But as I visited his blog just moments ago, Blogger says the blog is already deleted. Sad sad

Type in "griz blogger" in Google search and you'll find him.

His old ranking term "make money" seems to be taken over by sites that I would consider spam.
This is what Google is aiming for?
