Hi guys,
Wouldn't it be cool if we had a way of knowing which hubbers have visited our hubs? I mean could HP implement something like Classmates.com has where every visit signs a virtual guestbook, and if the person visiting someone's page doesn't want them to know they were there, they can opt out of "signing the guestbook"?
Doesn't the comment box accomplish this?
Not quite the same thing. People have to actually make a comment for you to know they read one of your hubs. With the Guestbook application that the Classmates website has, the site tracks you as soon as you visit someone's profile without you doing anything. If you don't want someone to know you visited their profile, there's a box you can check so that the person doesn't know you were there.
Classmates.com is an annoying site. I'd rather we not have a guestbook here. Save that for your own website.
What difference does it make if you know who visits your hub or not?
I prefer to have most of my traffic from outside of HubPages - which is what is happening right now. I'm always delighted when Hubbers comment on my Hubs, because the others (outsiders) don't usually do so, even though it is possible.
I guess the idea sounds more like a social networking site than like HubPages. It's fun in some circumstances, but not suited to every site.
I guess it's nice to have but I could live without it. The community on HubPages consists mostly of commenting on hubs and the forums.
I understand, folks. I just put my ideas up whenever I think of 'em and let the rest of the HPers be the judge.
Is HPers a word? LOL
I guess it is now haha! But I think the word Hubbers is more commonly used.

I am NOT 100% sure where to post this before anybody jumps on me! I personally would like to see the comments section of a hub precede the ads and the related hubs. It feels like our readers come in to read the information on our hub and then are tantalized by the ads and encouraged by the related...

I am still new to Hubpages and have been enjoying a rather successful start. Thank you to those who have voted my articles up and those few of you who have begun to follow me. But I have noticed one thing of late and maybe it is the way it goes but I think it is disrespectful. I have commented on a...

Sept. 25, 8:08 p.m.In the last few days, I have published these two new hubs:"15 Things That Will Rogers Did Not Say""Joan Jett Coaching in The NHL?"And through above date, I have received NOT one comment. I asked Christy at Team HubPages what was wrong or was it me who did...

I've only written a handful of Hubs so far, and I knew that I would encounter this issue due to the nature of my writing. I have one Hubber who continues to post personal insults in the comments of all of my Hubs. This individual has also indicated that he votes down my pages because he...

I was quite stunned a week or more ago when someone made a statement on one of my hubs that she had commented twice and I had snubbed her by not replying. Her comment had been particularly flattering, and probably because I've spent a lifetime being flattered by others only to find that they wanted...
