   I hate to say it but the green-eyed monster has reared it's ugly head. I can't seem to keep my hub scores or hubbers score up. I know I'm a newbie, but I see other newbies doing it.
   
   Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Go ahead, hit me with it. I can take it...I think LOL

      It will go up, it has a lot to do with being active than anything(my guess). This is something I don't worry about at all as it doesn't affect my views I get from Google too much.

         I heard a nasty rumor that if your score is below 75 then you don't get indexed by google. Is that true? That's my biggest concern.

            I really have no idea, lol. Are you talking about hubscore or authorscore? Author score has anything to do with it.
            
            If it is your hubscore, I have things indexed that are below 75.

               I was talking about hubscore, yes. Several of mine that were in the 80s have dropped as the traffic has dropped in them too. So when I heard that, I just about threw in the towel! Just about, but not quite

            They still get indexed, but they lose their juice as backlinks.  So if you've used your hub as a way of backlinking to other web pages you have elsewhere, then having a score of less than 75 is a problem.  Otherwise, it's no problem at all; people will still be able to find you on Google (assuming you've used good keywords in your title).
            
            Oh, and this below 75 thing applies to your overall author score, not your hubs.  (There may well be a similar threshold for individual hubs but I don't know what it is, if it even exists.)

               Got it. Thanks for clearing that up. My author score makes me safe for now then. Though it varies by as much as four points from one day to the very next. No idea why that is.

                  If your author score (on your profile picture) drops below 75 your hubs are "no follow".  They are still indexed and can still get traffic and earn but the spiders won't follow the links.
                  
                  The same thing will happen to individual hubs if they fall below 40.  In this case, however, it only that one hub that is affected.
                  
                  Part of your author score is random; intentionally put in to give some variation.

   you are just doing OK. Other newbies who were hubnugget wannabies are just different cases. Don't compare yourself with other. You are doing fine, just keep it up.

      I guess it's that I don't like to do just OKAY at anything. I don't have to be the best, but I do try to put my best foot forward and it stings with it's not good enough, you know?

         not true.
         
         Author score 70 and hub score 40 is needed only for do follow outbound links. Google or any other service has no connection with your score. Score is a total HP thing.

   Actually, I’ve noticed a lot of Hubbers’ scores seem to have “permanently” dropped a few points, including mine. I’m beginning to suspect that HP has tightened the paradigm a little bit.

   I've heard no one say how the author score is determined for sure.  But it seems to be the same as usual as far as moving up and down is concerned.

   Mines dropped last week and now it's back up. I think it's better to just ignore it or you will drive yourself crazy.....like I did lol!
