I usually check my daily views, and, I noticed that I went from 245 views over 7 days on one of my hubs down to 200. Almost every one of my hubs have dropped in total views. Is there a reason why this would happen? It's not the first time.

It must be a slow time of year.  A few of us have noticed the same thing.  I'm sure it'll pick up as spring approaches. smile

Ah yes, springtime, when the air begins to warm and people return to their computer screens (presumably to avoid the pollen) after a long winter of frolicking in the snow. Sadly, this is how everyone I know lives.

I can understand it being slow, but that it still an addition, I'm talking about lost views from what I already had. At least 70 views in the last week removed from my page count. To me that could eventually lead to lost revenue.

It is a rolling count, it updates daily. For example if 7 days ago you had 200 views, the weekly shows up as 200. However, you may not have gotten as may views as usual the next day. So, tomorrow it might show up as 180 views. Have you check the number of views over all and see if they have changed?

Yes. My 30 day and all time views went down as well. I am going to start logging it every week to make sure. The same thing happened to me at Amazon, where I had so many clicks when I became a member, now it says that I have none.

I just checked again, and I lost another 8 views in the last hour and 40 minutes on my 7 day total. on just one hub. Since I answered your post Uninvited writer. I decided to check again.

It's a rolling period of 24 hrs, 7 days, and month.  You shouldn't see your GRAND TOTAL going down.  Your other three could easily fluctuate if you have fewer coming on than are rolling off.  It just shows you a trend.

I know... But I am. My followers are rising, my comment are, etc. Yes, The grand total is going down and quickly. I am a computer geek and very aware of fluctuations in data (worked with data collecting and monitoring q's etc). An IT w/software/hardware/and Networking

Yes, and depending on when the 24 hours change (time zones etc).

The only normal way I can think of for a GRAND TOTAL pageview count to decrease would be if you deleted hubs that had previously had pageviews.  Other than that, it would seem to be glitch for your TOTAL views to decrease.  If you're sure that is happening and you haven't deleted a hub then email the HP staff at team&hubpages.com and let them look into it.

Just to clarify for anyone else reading this.....your daily, weekly and monthly totals can rise and fall due to the timeframe being a rolling timeframe.   The GRAND TOTAL shouldn't decrease unless you delete a hub.

It's not a great time of year for traffic.  Trust me, you are not alone.  My daily views are down 200 from 9 days ago, and down 550 per day from 2 months ago.  It happens.
