I heard about the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge through a forum on another website, and this was what convinced me to come try hubpages.  I had been deciding between a few different but similar websites and this little challenge  is what made the difference for me. I like the idea of publishing something everyday.  I don't have a particular category of things I write about, is that a problem generally?  Should I try to limit my writings to one subject?

Thanks everyone for the support, I hope to make this happen!

Hi Reindeerz welcome to HP , no, you  do not have  to stick to a particular subject., you can write on whatever  you want.

That is the fun part about  HP, you can do what you want and how you want it.. You may want to read up the FAQ sections to help you with your all questions and doubts.
You will find this useful..       http://hubpages.com/faq

20 days in, and 20 hubs posted... I am glad I got off to a good start since I was on Vacation last week but I'm back and really enjoying posting.

I'm kind of addicted to this though lol.  Wound up posting a hub that got a few hundred hits in a couple of day span so that makes me want to keep trying new stuff.  Will be even better if/when the money follows, as a SAHM/student there are ALWAYS things I need to buy. smile

Well, I've done it.  Hit 30 hubs in 28 days. smile  NOW...  What to do?  I've seen one of my hubs do AWESOME for hits, another that is the top on a certain niche google search term, seen another spark 2 purchases on amazon, and seen a few that have yet to break 10 hits.  It's fun to see which ones work and which ones don't and it's fun to see the money SLOOOOWLY start trickling in.  (Hey, it's $3.00 I didn't have a month ago LOL)

Now I'm ready to do my next 30.  Good Luck to anyone who is working their way through this challenge!

I would advise all new hubbers to spread their writing out over many different subjects at first.  Once you see which subjects do the best then look at those to see what layouts, products, etc. made the hubs successful.

You seem to have made a good start.

Sounds like you are off to a great start, you will be teaching other people how to do this before you know it. Welcome to HubPages.

I think you merely state your intentions to do so on the 30 day/ 30 hub thread. I might be wrong since I've never tried it.

I decided to do the 242 hubs in 218 days challenge instead.

No, I'm kidding. It has worked out that way, but I never had any specific intention. It just happened.

        HP is a bit addicting.

I've never tried for any certain number of hubs in a certain time, but then I do this mostly for fun right now.  I usually get carried away with my research and end up with several hubs-in-progress.

I do admire those who write so many hubs.  But I don't envy them yet. LOL!

Thanks Randy for the feedback.  I've been online 'searching' and I think I have found it.  I believe I make the 'announcement' on the thread you mentioned and post my updates and hub titles there.  Well, here I go...
