Using agencies like the EPA to regulate carbon dioxide as a work around to the lack of support for his take from the poor and give to wall street cap and trade program! Between this and his ban on drilling hundreds of thousand jobs are lost and the recovery is being stalled!

The economy is growing but its slow and choppy and its not adding near enough jobs. It's time to face the facts that things are as they are because of Obama's failed liberal policies!

According to the "Deity in Chief" the recession ended in 2009.

LaLo, I guess you didn't get the memo. Cap and Trade didn't pass and the drilling ban which only affected deepwater wells was lifted after a safety review. Hundreds of thousands of jobs?? Reality check, people.

I guess you didn't get the memo or read the link. You're just uninformed and a mouthpiece for all things liberal. Though a federal judge lifted the ban on drilling the energy dept refuses to issue permits in defiance of the judges order and this applies to shallow water drilling as well. Cap and trade didn't pass so Obama is using the EPA to accomplish what he couldn't get passed by congress. Rule by decree... just like his buddy Chavez!

I would prefer to ask our friend who is short on facts to provide a source to the lie - I mean suggestion - that the EPA is operating in defiance of a judge's orders. (On appeal is not defiance, by the way.)

A good spin? The Senator that levied these claims provided not a single bit of resource for his outlandish claims. Further, regulation is enacted for a reason...that reason being these companies are producing byproducts that kill people with regards to their disposal and emission. They kill people. Allowing a corporation to dump their waste in your swimming pool because it is cheaper for them is not a sound policy, despite your lack of forethought or humanity.

By the way...since we are on the subject of jobs...where are all of the jobs bills that were promised by your Republicans? The only things they have worked on were abortion and homosexuality...not a single economic issue has even been questioned by Republicans as of yet. Yet another sign that they, and you, are nothing more than flat out inhuman liars, concerned with only their own pocketbooks and who want to grow government to the notion of promoting their own whacked out social issues, like forcing raped children to carry their babies full term. Insane and inhuman.

    Winner: Best non sequitur award

“The irony of EPA’s agenda is that, along with higher costs, it will fail to provide the American people with meaningful environmental benefits.  In some cases, it will actually impose environmental harm, as EPA’s ever-increasing mandates shift production to China, where technology and standards don’t measure up to our own.”

How will it fail to provide the American people with meaningful environmental benefits?
Impose environmental harm because production moves to China?
I think the author must have meant "economic harm" rather than "environmental harm." But then again, he could have meant exactly what is written.

Thank you, once again, LaLo, for bringing us "hot-off-the-press" news circa September 2010.
