Answer, which one do you like the most?
Q.1: In reference to Novels 'A walk to remember' or 'The Notebook'
Q.2: In reference to Movies 'A walk to remember' or 'The Notebook'
1. I haven't read the novels.
2. Haven't seen The Notebook, and A Walk to Remember made me cry at first, so that wins.
I would say that IF you have any interest in romantic novel reading (I assume there will be some interest as you are already connected to a writing websites i.e. hubpages) you should read the novel "The Notebook". It's very well written.
The story of A walk to remember is always a remarkable one in my eyes, and so does the novel too. But "The Notebook", in terms of novels, is superb.
Both films, from what I've seen in clips, trailers, etc., are brain-dead.
But, there's a funny satirical clip called "The Handjob," where all the melodramatic, cliched pronouncements of the film get replaced with... other words.
You can see how over-the-top the film is, just by seeing those clips.
On both counts I would say that "The Notebook" wins hands down.
Indeed it is
But I found "A walk to remember" (movie) as really sweet, cute and remarkable, and even better than the Notebook.
However, "The Notebook" (novel) is better than its competitor
By reading all of the above answers, I realized that this INDEED IS A DIFFICULT QUESTION, and I am not the only one, who is really confused about it
In novels, and movies, A walk to remember always wins. It always makes me cry... and it's just really beautiful.
The screenplay of that movie took me somewhere in the heaven.
It's so BEAUTIFUL, so serene, so cute and SO simple. I just loved the movie, and watched for soooo many times.
Thanks Hunbbel Meer. I think I will read The Notebook!
You're welcome
And I bet you will find a million people out there who are in love with the movie "the notebook" too
May be you would like to see it, after you finished with then novel
Enjoy
movie cinematography and screenplay - A walk to remember
But overall impact spec. storyline - The Notebook
I didn't read both novels.
I myself loved the screenplay and cinematography of the AWTR, the most.
And I would definitely suggest you to read the novel of "The Notebook", because if you loved the movie that much, you are going to love the book EVEN MORE!
A WALK TO REMEMBER was a pretty good movie, but not as believable as THE NOTEBOOK. I have seen THE NOTEBOOK several times and would watch it again and again, but A WALK TO REMEMBER......not so much. It's THE NOTEBOOK, hands down!
I have seen both movies. Loved both of them, but Notebook more.
A walk to remember included several stereotypes which I didn`t like that much, but still a great movie.
However as far as the books go, I have read only Notebook. When I started reading the book, I knew it would be better than the movie as books always do. But I didn`t know it was going to be that good. So if you loved Notebook as a movie, you are going to fall in love with the book.
Yes Tina, you are 100% right
I also found the book, to be more interesting and lovely

Are there any novel based movies out there that stay true to the novel?Often when I have read a great book and it becomes a movie, like so many of Stephen King's, I am disappointed in the movie and always find the book much better. Seems like not all the opinions and view can be expressed in...
