remove a recommendation

   how do I remove a recommendation from my hubpages the link no longer exists.

   Do you mean a notice (warning)? If you open the hub in editing mode, the non-existing link should be highlighted. You can then go to edit or remove the link, and the warning should disappear.

      No not a notice: In the right column near the bottom of the page. There is a box title recommendations. In the box a link from a Facebook friend is there.
      The link is titled My vacation in Balcarce Argentina I believe. The hubpage that the link refers to does not exist anymore. Can I delete this link or can I refer this think to this hubpage. Computer Guy with the hub Vacationing in Balcarce Argentina. I started with a hubpage and as a beginner it didn't go well. I started a new hubpage. The Facebook link goes to the old hubpage so if someone clicks on it it comes up hubpage no longer displayed.

         those are links on Facebook from your facebook friends. If someone shared a link to your old hub or an old profile via facebook, then ask them to change or delete it on FB, you cant change or remove it through HubPages.

         Actually, I'd be interested to know the answer to this too. The Hubpages/facebook thingie is quite new and I don't think anyone has posed this question before (or they might have and I missed it).

            Thanks everyone for the input. He is the conclusion; I simply asked my girl friend to go back through her facebook posts and delete the post that had the link to the comment box. Then I sent her the link to my new Hubpages address.

   It would have made things a lot easier, if you had simply rewritten the not-so-hot Hub, using the same title and same URL.  Then the link would still go to the improved Hub.
   
   You actually could still do that, but now you have the new Hub as well.

      Yes beginners:  You are probably write I should have rewritten the original hub but this one is starting out much better. The facebook link was added from my girlfriends facebook. I gave her the link or url from my hubpage and she added it to her facebook as a link. It was a story I wrote for her and she posted it on facebook for her friends to link to my hubpage and read it. Tomorrow I will ask her to find the post on her facebook and delete it and see if it goes away. Then I can give her the new hubpage url. I will post the results.
