Yup, I'm flying from warm, sunny Orlando Florida to the still cold and snowy Vermont, the Northern part of the state in fact, today. hmm

I'm taking pictures and videos of maple syrup harvesting a friend does up there. It's called maple sugaring. I have a site for his maple syrup so the videos will be a nice touch.

I don't look forward to the deep snow they still have up there. Maybe I'll do some downhill skiing, I use to do that when I lived there.

Maybe I'll even get a one night stand! big_smile

Bill, you are pretty much already Florida's version of Hugh Heffner, I'm sure that you don't need yet another one night stand lol

wow Bill, you're leaving this weather? This is the 'why we live in Florida' season.  It was hard to get anything done inside yesterday.  big_smile

Have fun up there and we look forward to seeing some pics. Vermont maple syrup sounds delicious right now. I haven't eaten breakfast yet.

And good luck .. ! smile

Hi Bill, I looked at a house for sale in Island Pond back in 07.
The country is beautiful up there. I am an old barn lover so I had plenty to take pictures of.  Be safe on your trip.

Thanks all. Yes I know rebekahELLE, seems strange to be going up north in the winter. But like I said, it's mainly to film my friend making maple syrup.

Yes Nelle, I have a Vermont site too! I sell my friend's maple syrup on it. It's almost mud season up in Vermont, not pretty. hmm

Well I made it up here! It's actually nice out, for Vermont. Got lots of snowbanks but it's melting and the roads are clear.

It's basically mud season up here, when all the dirt roads turn to mud, they get giant frost heaves and the rivers overflow and flood land and roads.

However it's great weather for the maple sap to run, which is why I'm here; to take video of it being made into syrup. Got some big kick-ass boots. smile

What, you want me to forget about a one night stand! Well with my luck I don't have to worry about finding one. hmm

Yeah I'll be taking pictures today, nice and sunny out. But the next few days will be rainy or snow. hmm

I thought some might like some pictures I took of my friend's maple syrup operation. These days the maple sap is collected with plastic tubing to each tree.

Then it's boiled down to pure maple syrup in a long evaporator. It's a lot more work than I thought. Tomorrow I'm hitting the ski slopes! smile
