Highest their Alexa ranking has ever been, and I had my record SheToldMe.com earnings day yesterday of $10.... which happens to be three times my previous record wink

I think I am going to go and backlink all my hubpages at shetoldme smile Of course, this strategy should only be adopted by those who don't believe that SheToldMe links devalue a Hubpage, I subscribe to the notion that they just don't add value.

Autoblogs and scraper sites are raised in search results in this update.

I also follow approach 0 and 1 to link building.
0= Ignored link, 1= Adds value to link.

I wouldn't call SheToldMe an autoblog or a scraper blog though, as there is nowhere to insert your RSS feed.... that would, however, explain why RedGage are outranking Hubpages.

Actually your post reminded me that I had sent a proper article to shetoldme which was immediately buried. Maybe it is awful.

Anyway, a while later, I thought I could post the article somewhere else so wrote to James asking him to remove said article so that it wouldn't become duplicate content.

I never recieved a reply and forgot about after about 24 hours which is my norm.

Just checked just now and it's still there sad

I have about 15 referrals at Shetoldme, I was gaining quite high rankings with my scoops there but I don't know if they are ranking high after the Algo change, I also found it hard to write 400 words with limited time although it does say you can copy and paste you first paragraph 2-3 times, perhaps this is why my scoops stopped ranking there?

ryankettposted 13 years agoin reply to this

      400 words?

      Don't you mean 200 characters?

yes thats right sorry I got confused, perhaps I already had that amount, actually seems short and I think Excerptz will do better with the 300 limit.

          Lol, I should think so.

I have 225 referrals and 297 scoops on SheToldMe, and already earn much more on Excerptz, with its PR0.

I went and looked at Excerptz and I'm glad I did. I found your summary leading back here to your hub about Low Vision Keyboards. This means I don't have to buy scrapbook letters to put on the keys anymore!

Though actually I just bought a pair of computer glasses that are working for now. But if my sight plays its usual trick again, I'll be getting one of those keyboards. Really, I never knew they existed before and had quit looking.

Hopefully I can get it working for everybody, I am seeing increases in traffic and revenues on my 20% share, but there is a long way to go.

I also like the idea of it becoming a decent source of traffic for Hubpages in general. Ultimately though, I want the backlinks to become authoritative for people and for a decent amount of income to follow.

The curves are all upward pointing though. I have a contest running at the moment, only one entry so far, but there are three cash prizes! Don't know what people are waiting for! wink

So you see the level of service. Shetold me is indeed like a scam. its lying about the 100% impressions.

    1. IzzyM profile image87
IzzyMposted 13 years agoin reply to this

I've backed 100s of my hubs there and have never received a penny in impressions from adsense from them.

Then again, I didn't post my links there for money, but for the backlink they might provide me with.

Now you mention it, haven't seen those either sad

I want my article back! I just read through it and it's not that bad...not great either but it doesn't deserve to be buried.

  6. Rudra profile image67
    Rudraposted 13 years ago

Absolutely right, my account deleted for no reason. The answer I got was that my scoops where bringing lot of traffic but not making money. Shetoldme is nothing more than a scam. If you look at the source codes of scoops you will notice that they are not 100% adsense impressions but split in 2/3 ways.

Looks like expertz is nice site, I will join. You are not going to scam me like shetoldme because of my Indian hubs and sites.

And long as your content is unique, well written and posts are at least 300 words long then you are welcome on the site.

I occasionally backlink at shetoldme, would definitely not bother placing any real content on there though!

Well I only put one article there. But out of all my cockroach articles, I liked that one best and want it back!

And no I don't want to write any more about them (I wrote 7 x 500+ words about them).

      They give me the Heeby-Jeebies!

What worried me was getting clicks with very little traffic, or even when it said 0

It never shows my impressions either, don't really understand why, never have. But it hasn't caused me any issues with AdSense.

I think all impressions goes to shetoldme adsense account since each of the ad pages shows their ads also.

  10. thisisoli profile image72

The issues with she otld me adsense earnigns is because they use the new google adsense code, not the old adsense code.

Most article directories (my own included) Use the old adsense code so that our writers can keep track of their statistics.

I am not sure why SheToldMe decided not to do that, but it is nothing to worry about.

My revenue share plugin didn't appear to work at all with the new code (although that probably explains it).
