Why does hubpages want me to go? They have marked every single of my hub as substandard?

I know hub pages put a limit on amazon and e-bay ads. I went back through mine, and reduced the number of ads displayed on my hubs. I also remember one hubber said they singled out some of her hubs because the photos had a copyright or watermark in them. Make sure they are your photos, or from a free source.

I know they recommend to have a minimum number of words. I think it is 400 or 500. I try to have more than that.

It is possible that someone copied your hubs, and put them up elsewhere on the web. Hub may have marked yours as duplicate content. I know they are really starting to crack down on that now along with hubs being overly promotional.

Contact them, and they should be able to tell you more about why they have been flagged.

Just work through it.  It's still a good place to be creative.

Over 300 hubs as substandard. There is more, hubpages is trying to tell me. I need an explanation.

Contact them. That seems the be the best move for now.

Otherwise, be aware of all the changes that Google brought in Feb. Be aware that it effected HP dramatically and lists them now as a content farm and that content farms don't do well with Google.

Therefore, update yourself about TOS, new changes, and choose a hub and figure out it out piece at a time.

That's what I'm doing as well.

I would say that if your hubs are more of a phtot gallery nature these are being flagged, also I would go as far as to say that if any of your hubs had less than 800 quality words you might have gotten flagged.

But, and thisis important Contact hubpages and wait for them, it does take them a bit to repond these days.

Doesn't it say why ? .. I've had one marked as 'poor qulity' .. which it is .. not enough text.

Strange they have all been marked though unless you are copying them from another site but I would suggest you contact them too

There are no ulterior motives.  If they were marked as substandard, then they are. You can either work out what needs to be fixed.... or move on.

That isn't necessarily true...look what happened to Spacey
Gracey...she was banned overnight by HP, and it was due to some glitch in the system.

I don't know Rudra, or what type of hubs were produced, but it's just as possible that the same thing has happened to them.

Good luck Rudra-I hope you get it all sorted out soon...

I did notice that one of Rudra's hubs did appear on another site. I don't know if it was taken from it or if it was stolen.

I also got two of my hubs flagged for being substandard and I tried to figure out what was wrong with them and I couldn't find any thing wrong.  So I emailed HP for help and HP came back to me about watermarked images in my hubs and just remove them.  I did, and my two hubs are back.  So just email HP and ask them what exactly they want you to do.  I know the email sent to me was a standard one listing multiple violations, and I too panicked.  Best of luck.

I hope you get all your problems sorted out. Watermarked images seem to be a major offender, apart from grammar and language. Team HP will be able to tell you specifically what is the problem, and they are responding fast. Best wishes to you!

I've now had two hubs flagged and unpublished as overly promotional, even those the products seem to be within the 50 word limit.

I'll go back through the capsules in case I missed any that are currently 'out of stock', but if its not that...rss feeds? even though the feeds are related to the product?

I've been quite lucky, I haven't had any hubs flagged yet, I have had a few with broken links but thats easy to sort. I have had 3 hubs flagged since I been here, one I deleted and the other 2 I edited.
I had 2 that needed altering for Amazon capsules when they sent the emails out a couple of weeks ago but Amazon is not my main efforts

Mine are sorted already. All I really did was go through them and set the Amazon capsules to 'show 1 product' even though they only had one chosen product anyway - they were still set to the default three.

And on the second hub I added about 20 more words.

I was surprised to get any unpublished, actually, because I'd personally gone through all my hubs when advised to do so, and change all those showing warnings.

I did miss out a couple, not on purpose, and got emailed about them. Changed them, and now found yet another two unpublished that had previously shown no warnings since the first edit?

Made the changes above, as I said, which are barely changes at all, and sent them back for republication, expecting to get told to take off relating rss feeds or something, judging by what I am reading on the forums.

Both got republished almost right away, so thanks Staff.

I had one unpublished and I don't think it took them much more than a day to publish it again once I resubmitted.  I think that's pretty good.  I remember waiting a week once to have an article "approved" and published at Infobarrel when I ventured over there for a short time.  Now that's a long time to wait!
