I've been reading and writing about the royal wedding , aside from taking my time and getting entertained about the whole thing it gives me nothing. What about you any comments on this.?

Majority of us women are interested because in general we love weddings don't we?

Yeah, I honestly don't see the appeal. Sure, they are royals, but then again its just a wedding. I can see how people in England would be excited, but for the life of me I can't understand why everyone is freaking out about it here in America.

If they are looking for a dancer for the bachelorette party, have them give me a call! smile  I'm easy but I'm not cheap!

I agree wholeheartedly with anyones lack of interest.
I enjoyed the original TV show "Will and Kate" but this one falls flat. Why there should be such a hoopla about Billy Battenburg and his bride is beyond me. Didn't America fight a war to be rid of this nonsense?  Don't get me wrong, I wish them well and I wish them joy as I would with any couple taking this step but it ends there.

Okay, like this matters in the real world. These people live in their own world and what happens in their own little world isn't a priority in my view/worldview.

I do find it ridiculous that there has been more than ONE thread dedicated to this ridiculous topic.

As I have said before and will gladly repeat myself- what good is it going to do for those who are oppressed within that country? Probably NONE!

Therefore, the wedding itself is meaningless.

      Who is oppressed in England?

That's why such things are necessary - to give those poor, oppressed people in England the illusion of joy, to make them proud of the nation that oppresses them.
I actually escaped England years ago and sought asylum. I now live as a refugee in Germany.

It is an interesting diversion from everything else going on in the world. But, that is about as far as I'm interested. My wife is enjoying all the "wedding" stuff and talk...so that's a good thing.

I got'ta say that I believe that Kate is an excellent choice for a fine princess...William...Ya' done good!

But I wonder if the couple would have come together had her upwardly mobile parents not had the ambitions they have?

I think that's one of the reasons this wedding doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Just to sum this up , for most of us the royal wedding is nothing but just another piece of entertainment , but for some who would benefit from it.. The wedding is a blessing in-disguise.:-)

As for Prince William and Kate I wish them both happiness, hope the real essence of their marriage wouldn't end after the wedding ends.

Keeping a marriage is harder than planning a wedding. Wedding will hurt your pocket LOL! but a failed marriage can hurt your pocket and break your heart as well.

I think it is neat, the pomp and circumstance, the traditions, and the People of England look terrific, but i just keep thinking about that price tag and who pays for it.

seems over the top to me, a lot of it un-necessary maybe, not sure. But it is very interesting to read about and watch.
