ehow writers: Checkout your account you have a choice to sell or rem.

   If you don't already know you either have to sell your articles to ehow or remove them.  I am removing mine!  How long does it take for articles to not appear on Google after they have been removed?  Can I move them here on hubpages right after I delete them from ehow or should I wait for them to stop appearing on Google?

      I just accepted the offer and moved on - most of the 'ehow' articles I had, I have rewritten and improved on hubpages - nice bit of extra dosh though - comes out at about a year's worth of eHow earnings for me!

            They base it on your earnings over time - for me it was about 12 times my normal monthly earnings - they give you one figure for all of your 'ehows'

   I am also wondering whats the easiest way to start the removing process?  I have never removed that many articles before I don't know where to start.

   Okay, but how much are they going to pay for articles? I click for more information and it just wants my ssn and paypal info. I don't want to sell if I don't know what i'll be getting first.

      You get to see an 'offer' letter before you agree - so no harm done by adding that info - if you've been paid before they already have the info anyway.

   Put your last 4 digits of s.s. # scroll where it say for more info. it should tell you there how much they are offering.

   I can't believe what I just did I accidently deleted my word program.  Thank God I downloaded word again and my files where there I honestly I wanted to cry I am so relieved my files where there

   I sold. I have an article spinner, an autoblog and a good mind. Goodbye eHow. I don't have to deal with the dysfunction that comes from eHow anymore. yyayy. To me, it was worth it. To some, maybe not.

       More money for ehow. They don't have to pay the writers over time any longer. I personally am removing my articles from ehow. I wasn't making much with them but it was anywhere from $10-15 a month. That's over $120 a year. They want to pay me a final fee of $35 for my articles. No thank you! With me it's the principle and common sense. But for those that have a lot of links or what have you or have already rewritten their articles I understand. I would sell them. There is always 2 sides to a view point. Bottom line though- ehow is greedy!

    I totally for got about all the articles I have linked to my ehow articles so I think I am going to tweak my articles then sell them to ehow they offered $89 for 23 articles.

    I plan to not accept the offer. as I had only 13 articles and want to use them elsewhere. However, is there a place to decline as I do not see one? Where will the articles be, and do we need to remove them ourselves? I thought eHow planned to let us know how to find them to remove them.

    I  was sad to get that email from eHow today as well. That is where I started writing and had some good aged articles, but not many money makers. I took a look at the offer and I took it because the money was too good to pass up.

    I just realized that eHow will also own the rights to the photos we included in our articles.  I had used many of my own photos in my eHow articles and also used them in articles here on HubPages, as well as my own website.  I just removed all of the duplicate photos from my HP articles, as I am also considering selling my articles to eHow.
    
    Has anyone attempted to remove photos from their articles on eHow so they could retain their rights?  I tried to on my lowest earning eHow article, but the photo still appears when I click on the article.  If you were able to successfully remove your photos, could you please post a comment explaining how you did it?

    Guess I'll sell the 17 articles and be done with eHow for good nothing personal ^^ 1 year payout plus buy off. It hurts yeah but what are ya gonna do. Remove them and try to recap, not this writer I was new to the game of internet writing so GoodBUY eHow and Demand Studios

    Update: just checked the article from which i removed a photo yesterday, and it appears to have updated properly (the photo no longer appears).  I'm going through the rest of my eHow articles to remove the photos to which I would like to retain rights and will confirm that they have been removed after 24 hours.

    I took the offer.  Honestly, there is no way I could post those somewhere else and make what they offered me - nor would I want to.  Most of the stuff I wrote on eHow was from over 2 years ago and not my best quality.  But, I earned a decent passive income.  Since that time, I have learned a LOT more about online writing (SEO, etc) and have moved on.  I also am getting high-paying jobs through clients willing to pay me for my skills.
    
    It was a good run, but it is time to move on anyhow!

    You may want to wait until the deadline before accepting the offer.  After I removed my photos, some of those articles were swept by eHow, along with some others.  According to the offer, only the articles listed under "My Articles" will be purchased by eHow.  They just removed 12 of my articles, which I believe I will be free to post elsewhere, as they are not interested in purchasing them.
    
    I plan to wait until almost 5/31, in case they perform more sweeps.
    
    Has anyone else had some of their articles swept since the offers were made?
