When you are buying ground beef what kinds of things do you personally look for?

~22% fat and there’s no green-colored stuff on it. smile

Yes I look for beef that doesn't look as if it has been in the refrigerated section for more than 2 days - the greenish hue some times is a giveaway.

My brother  likes to eat beef.So I often  want to go to buy beef.
I like any kinds of beef .I don't  select  the beef as  the kind.
I often buy beef as the price of the beef

I almost always buy equal parts ground sirloin and ground chuck and then mix the two together. The sirloin has the flavor and the chuck adds the fat for juiciness. I sometimes buy ground round (basically the same as mixing sirloin/chuck), but it's usually more expensive.

Depends what I want to do with it. If I just want to make a bolognaise, I use a mixture of ground beef and pork. If I want to make a tartare, I use ground filet of beef.

Definitely look for one's with low fat and typically ground round for the flavor. Can add some nice spices to it for great burgers or taco mixes.

I hardly ever buy it, but if I do, it's organic grass fed beef.

Grass fed is really the way to go. I thought people were crazy at first, but when I tried to myself, I realize it tastes better. I can usually find sales at some store near me.

Ground lean steak is the best but too expensive here in Europe for my budget, so I just buy the cheapest going which usually has loads of fat in it, but if you fry it for about 15 minutes after it has browned, all the fat gets released and you can easily drain it off.

Glad you found a way to overcome the fat problem.
