It's hard for me to do, but I will bow out of this forum.
It's been fun. Truly has.
Thanks to all for your "discussions", as colourful as they were from time to time.
I have to say, that I miss MANY great people that are no longer around (on this forum). Not to mention, I will miss many of you that are still here.
I always said that I would not be "forced" out by intimidation, ridicule, hostile responses and the like. I was going to stay UNTILL I WAS READY to leave. I think that time has come.
If anyone cares to know more, I have updated my hub http://hubpages.com/hub/why-i-love-hubpages-forums
I couldn't just STOP. I think this is a more clean break, actually saying, BYE.
I hope you all have fun, and learn more about yourselves, and each other. That's how we grow as individuals. I'm not sure who said it, but it goes something like this
"I'd be the same, except for the people I meet, and the books I read". I like that. This forum has helped change me. I know for a fact I've become stronger in faith and character as a result of my interactions here.
Dj
Well perhaps after a break for a couple a months you'll cruise in from time to time, if not just to say Hi
I will miss your intelligence ,wit and strong conviction In Jesus Christ
Where ever you wonder Aussie boy ,this Kiwi wishes you well, peace and much Joy!
To Your Best Life-Keep writing ,and keep on spreading His free gift of salvation and Love. Failing that ,I will keep you in my prayers for a daily dose of humour
I will miss you, aka-dj, and hope that you stop back by once in a while as Eaglekiwi says.
As you pointed out in your hub, the religious forum is not a place to teach, but one can learn instead. You have a very different life view and way of thinking than I and as a result have been one of my teachers as I learn more of people and myself. Thank you.
Wherever you go, whatever you do, I wish you well in your endeavors. Keep your spirits up and keep learning in your journeys.
Hey dj. You can't go. You're way too interesting of a poster.
But, if you must. It was enjoyable following your conversations here in the forum. Good luck, whatever you do from here.
You know you're gonna miss me.
So you might as well get your arse on back over here, and stay a while longer.
No need to make yourself miserable.
I'll take ya back.
Thanks guys.
Just to clarify, I'm not leaving Hubpages, just the religion forum.
I'll still be around, just somewhat less.
Bless y'all too.

If you haven't been on here long, then you will not relate to this. There was a group of us who would stay up really late chatting on the forums, flirting, acting crazy and having a grand ole time! I haven't posted in years! Hell, I've been here since 2009 and even...

There are several forums going on right now on the topic of religion, belief in god, etc. With all the intense and often heated discussions going on in this Hub, I'm wondering about the importance of the forum as a meeting place for lonely people. I am one of these, although some of you...

Have you noticed that any discussion that has to do with Christianity is always used by the antagonists, who never seem satisfied with the Christian blood they suck in these forums, to divert the purpose of the original argument? I think they have let themselves to be degenerated into an autopilot...

It seems to me if I promote my hubs here I will be shafted - but if I don't you will never know about me. And if you don't know me now (after two years) - you may never know me ever! So I'm not promoting my hubs - I'm merely promoting "me"! To know me is to love me - or vice versa. Anyway...

I've been reading through some old posts in the forums by Earnest and thought I would put up one of my favorites...seems to be a bit of foreshadowing here. Please feel free to add your own Earnest-ism.http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/74529#post1623064

I'm back!! I know you missed me. After looking over some of the religious topics and reading some of the response I come up with a character from some of the people who frequent this place. Please to enjoy Mark Knowles is the Jim Jones of the Religious forum who job is to lead as many people away...
