You are unable to change a subdomain. You can only create a new subdomain. Hope this helps

You would have been given an option even when you had to choose it and it was clearly mentioned that you cannot change your subdomain.
Yes as Jase has suggested start a new account ( since you are new here and may not have too much on your current account)  and write there. That seems to be the only way to go about it at the moment.

I truly appreciate all of your responses! I do not have ANYTHING (photos or otherwise much) on this sub-domain,....so basically, starting a new one is the best way to approach Hub Pages. I am certain picking a domain based on keywords of my favorite subject should work best, right? I initially asked this question here, based on the promotional email I rec'd yesterday as follows:

"We have some good news! As you may have read on our blog, HubPages has decided to give each Hubber his or her own subdomain on HubPages, as a way to restore Google traffic to high-quality Hubs."

To start a new SD, where in the site do I first go, or would be best to navigate to? I.e., ACCOUNT>????

I also have an adsense account. Can I add the affiliate number anywhere to a certain page? THANKS to all of you....

You need to start a whole new account from scratch with a new username of the domain you want. That is the only way to get a new subdomain.

OK, so here is a good hypothetical for you. Say someone is interested in collecting stamps and if they were to start a new sub-domain, perhaps a username similar to : "stamp-collector" or "collector-of-stamps" or something similar....RIGHT? OH....and btw, how do members add their AdSense code? In ACCOUNT SETTINGS? Or????

You can have any number of accounts but it is basically one adsense id, which you can add to all your accounts... you need to set up channels to track your income from each source.. that is all there is to that.

I appreciate your help SOFS....have a look at THIS PAGE: <snipped link - do not promote your Hubs in the forums> and tell me what you think. I did go through the steps to allow Hub Pages access to my AdSense account information to properly display ads on my Hub here. Now, should I add the URL as a channel to track in my AdSense account? What do you think? I hope you like my humor . . . tell me any tips, information or feedback on what you would do to get people to notice it! Thanks

Well, anyway I did successfully add my AdSense publisher ID to HubPages and it connected OK. I do have a question regarding an older hubpage I have....I looked at the AdSense Publisher ID for the ads running on that hub, and it is not my publisher ID. What should I do? Also, what are the best was to promote a hub?

Hubpages has a share remember.. 60:40 so hupages id runs 40 % of the time.. you can't do much about that.
If you need critique on your hubs you need to put them with links in the extreme makeover forum.. the right place for that.. here it will get snipped as it did .

Sofs....you're so helpful. OK, I see....HP staggers or runs their own ads on each hub page for a specific period, then up pops our own ad (with our pub-ID). And yes, I just may go over to the extreme makeover section! Keep in touch is you can. Take care
