    I am very new, so here goes.  When a fellow hubbers asks a question about your hub, do you answer in the comment box at the bottom of that hub page, or contact them directly?

    Thanks.

      I would respond through another comment. You can start the comment addressing them by name.

      By answering their question, you've added some more useful information to a potential reader.

      Best to reply in the hub's comment box unless you want to keep the message private.

      Hu Hubura, Firstly welcome to HPages.

      To answer your question I would answer the fellow hubber in a comment box if you feel that your readers could benefit by your answer! If you think that the question is off topic but would like to reply to the fellow hubber then I suppose an e-mail would be more appropriate.

      Definitely answer with another comment.

      I would also put

      @(commenter's handle) -- your comment

      like

      @kschang -- thanks for commenting!

      So there's no mistaking which comment you're replying to. It's just a convention I use.

    Here's a tip...

    When someone asks a question, always reply in the comment box.  When you do this, you do several things.  First, you increase the length of your hub, which gives other readers more to look at. Second, by increasing the length, you also add more content that can be picked up by the search engines.  Third, replying in the comment boxes gives you a great marketing tool.

    I try to add at least one keyword in my replies.  This has to be done naturally so as to not be seen as keyword stuffing.  Also, this is a great place to direct people to other hubs that have related content.  For example, if someone asks me a question about the Castles in Oklahoma, after answering, I can also refer them to my other hubs about the Castles in Oklahoma.

    By doing this, I had one of my hubs published in a small-town Oklahoma newspaper - and earned a couple bucks doing so. It's something to think about...
