"In the wake of President Obama’s decision to send a small contingent of troops to help Uganda fight the marauding Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) guerrillas, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh embraced the brutal group as valiant Christian warriors “fighting the Muslims in Sudan.”

In reality, as human rights groups have long documented, the LRA is a murderous “death cult,” best known for descending on villages, “capturing, killing, and abducting hundreds of civilians,” and forcing boys to become child soldiers and girls to become “bush wives.”

Many journalists and human rights advocates — along with an LRA survivor — have responded to Limbaugh, but yesterday he received a rebuke from the Senate floor from someone who called the controversial radio host “my good friend Rush Limbaugh.”

Using Limbaugh’s and his cohorts name, Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK), said, “some people have mistakenly said that [the LRA's leader] is a Christian, and I want to make sure everyone knows that he was officially disavowed by the Catholic Church in Uganda.” He went on to detail their group’s atrocities."

Does he EVER check on things, or just jump at the chance to character assasinate the president?
I mean, I was seeing this too, on the blogs: "Obama starts new war", "Obama a tyrant", blah blah blah....

Mass Mind Control. Can't tell the good from the bad. And just who is THAT good for? You got it...it's good for the bad.

I think it's funny that Limbaugh actually has listeners and people get so upset by what this manatee like creature says.

"Then there's the inescapable Pipelineistan angle. Uganda may hold "several billion barrels of oil", according to Heritage Oil's Paul Atherton, part of a recent, largest-ever on-shore oil discovery in sub-Saharan Africa."

"Uganda - and nearby eastern Congo - happens to hold fabulous quantities of, among others, diamonds, gold, platinum, copper, cobalt, tin, phosphates, tantalite, magnetite, uranium, iron ore, gypsum, beryllium, bismuth, chromium, lead, lithium, niobium and nickel. Many among these are ultra-precious rare earth - of which China exercises a virtual monopoly."

I'll go with the human rights advocates on this one.

    And my gut instincts.
At this point, it's really all we've got.

Who cares what Limbaugh says. He's not in the poltical circle, he's not a journalist. He's spin doctor who likes the sound of his own voice.

It is not only Limbaugh. He says it, and it goes viral.....true or not.

He is on PUBLIC airwaves...there needs to be some accountability here.

That goes for all of them.

"It takes a lot for Rush Limbaugh to get noticed these days. Statements so offensive or vile that they would get any other practitioner removed from the airwaves are relatively commonplace for Limbaugh, and to little effect:

Apparently sensing an opportunity to tarnish President Obama’s standing with listeners who were unaware of the suffering caused by the African rebels who call themselves the Lord’s Resistance Army, Rush Limbaugh responded to the president’s deployment of 100 military advisers to combat the group in central Africa in a segment of his radio show headlined, “Obama Invades Uganda, Targets Christians.”

Overlooking the detailed record of their brutality and bizarre practices, Mr. Limbaugh then added: “They are fighting the Muslims in Sudan. And Obama has sent troops, United States troops, to remove them from the battlefield, which means kill them. So that’s a new war, a hundred troops to wipe out Christians in Sudan, Uganda.”

The transcript makes it clear enough. Limbaugh is committed to the notion of Obama being at war to "wipe out Christians." He is further dedicated towards the notion that whatever Obama is for, he and his listeners must reflexively be against, apparently at any moral cost. But allying himself with an armed group synonymous with vicious, monstrous acts seems a high price for the mere chance to frighten his listeners with tales of a Christian-hating president."
