We need to help our kids not to bully so we need to teach our kids how bad bully is.

I agree, but the problem is more systematic than anything. I think kids and parents are trying to respond in the best way, but schools can't always enforce these policies because it starts so small and gets so big so fast.

And not to put all the blame on school systems, but some parents still aren't taking this seriously enough and have failed by example and teaching to show their kids what's right.

Education of kids is vital. So that they can grow up to be responsible adults. However, if parents refuse to be proper parents, then bullies will continue.

The bullying of anyone whether they are a child or adult makes me want to spit teeth.
Primarily it is up to parents to teach children about the effects that bullying can have on others and to make them stop and think how it they would feel if it were them that was being bullied. I think schools could also help by making youngsters aware of how damaging and degrading being bullied. Teaching tolerance and acceptance may help, if it were only that easy!

I teach my children to stand up for those who are getting bullied because both of them have been victims. My daughter will always jump in and help a child who is getting picked on even if it means putting the bullies on her.She don't mind turning kids in.Her school has a strict policy against bullying. You will get suspended and sent to alternative school. It takes students working with the administration to stop bullying in schools.

At one time or another, I think, everybody had been exposed to bullying. It's a part of an animal in human nature. We cannot eliminate that completely. What we can and should to - teach kids how to recognise that, to understand that, and how to fight that successfully. As Cagsil said 'education is vital'. If you are in any way different - some kids will bully you. It happened to me at one time. I had grown up problems at home and had to deal with it, but kids at school teased me. It never had any impact on me because I felt they are stupid little brats, and bullying soon stopped because I showed them how stupid they are and how I do not care and do not react. I just laughed at them! Bullying was the least that worried me at that time! Teachers should always watch for collective bullying when everybody teases one person, relentlessly picks on him, etc. Kids are sly, they might hide that perfectly until it's too late. A poor desperate victim might turn to criminal measures.
