    I have recently received an email from a friend about the danger of losing a mobile phone.  As our contacts are listed then anyone gaining access to our phones can text a contact, requesting information, such as bank details.  And as details are stored on the phone itself, and not just the sim card, all of our texts and contact details are available for anyone to see.

    Just put a pin on it, that will give you enough time to sort any detail damage out/alert banks to odd account activity and so on should you lose it or have it stolen. Just don't make the pin 1234 like I did with my Nokia 3330 ten years ago. I figured it was to obvious for something to even bother attempt trying!

    That's true, privacy has become a big issue in the modern world; mobile phones, internet, bank transactions all are subject to such privacy attacks by abusers, so people should always try to play safe.
