In inspiration to a great hub about debating and arguing on forums, I've decided to start this forum for those of us with that combative/competitive streak. So if you want to get into a debate, or an argument, feel free to start one up here! Post your position on any topic, and several hubbers will come to dispute you.
May the best debater win!
Please keep it reasonably civil
Castor oil for labour induction does not cause meconium to be passed in the uterus.
THAT is a highly arguable topic among many!
Hmmm never heard of them using Castor oil for labor induction here in the states.
interesting.
Oh so you have a better argument hmmm. Lets hear it.!
You're right! That is highly questionable and arguable! I've never tried it myself.... So I'm gonna say it does cause the fetus to meconium to be passed by the fetus before it's out, so there! ha! =P
LoL disagreed. I induced my first daughter this way - and did SO much research before I did. So many people pass on "a friend of a friend" authoritative knowledge lol.
Tried it on the advice of my midwife, it succeeded in making me ill and that was about it.
Her second piece of advice, however, worked like a charm. I was ordered to have sex with my then husband. It was slightly more enjoyable than castor oil (although it galls me to admit it, after all he IS my ex). My water broke literally 2 minutes afterwards. I've never been able to repeat the success with my later pregnancies, but the hubby(s) seem to like it better than castor oil as well.
I tried it at 8 days overdue as a last resort (trying to avoid the scheduled induction.) Ended up writing a hub about it with 40 ways to induce... none of them worked except castor oil.
Although, to be fair, like all natural inductions it only works IF you are close to labour. Which I'd prefer than a medically "forced" induction which could stall and result in a ceaser.
Okay, let's see if I can refute that without as many typo's as the last reply I made, lol.
"word of mouth" knowledge is the only authority. It existed before all this book - fact - expert - proven theories nonsense, and it will go on after everyone realizes how silly it is to worry about whether or not what your friend is saying is true, cause you're never gonna know those millions of people who experienced it differently, or those experts, so who cares what they think?
LOL =P
Young Frankenstein is clearly the best Mel Brooks movie.
I don't know about that.... He was pretty sexy in What Women Want.... =P
Wrong Mel. I'm talking about the Jewish one, not the anti-Semitic one.
Don't get me wrong, Spaceballs and
Robin Hood: Men in Tights were both great, but Young Frankenstein is just pure comedy magic. BLÜCHER!
Oh wow! Was he the "use the schwartz" guy in space balls? That rocks!
Oh wait... I forgot, I'm supposed to be debating you... so here it is!
It's been so long since I've seen Young Frankenstein, that I don't really remember it, so it can't be the best movie he's been in. I say Space Balls is his best movie, all the way. lol
Didn't Mel Brooks make Blazing Saddles? So what you're saying is you like gothic horror more than Westerns...who in the world likes gothic horror more than Westerns with Gene Wilder?!
Forget not that said Gothic horror also features Gene Wilder, ditto Madeline Kahn.
Romancing the stone was so cheesy, lol. My mom loves those Gene Wilder movies, haha.
"Joan Wilder. You are the famous author, Joan Wilder?"
I don't remember Gene Wilder being involved with Romancing the Stone (it was Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito).
Oh, I get it now, BizGenGirl is doing it intentionally. I've been trolled in a thread based on a hub I wrote where one of the messages in the subtext was not to give in to trolling.
I'ma go off somewhere and explode in a shower of irony now.

What's your favorite comedy movie?I have a few but when asked what's my all-time favorite, the very first one that comes to mind is Mean Girls. Others that I never tire of are The Princess Bride, Young Frankenstein, Arthur & Hall Pass.

In the middle east, in a region around Israel and Palestine, the excavations of pillars and pottery, city walls and other ruins are being dug up. The debate is that King Solomon's kingdom did indeed rule in the tenth and ninth century, but did it really exist, and what evidence can you...

I am surprised. I yesterday posted this topic 'Can Science explain everything?'. This hubber came out and gave me some answers. Now as I have provided him some reasons, he hot hurt and started to post nasty personal attacks. He said this to me, I quote: "This is why religious people such as...

I'm not a big fan of getting into controversial discussions in the forums. I prefer to read than write here, but this has been bothering me for a long time. There are some deep questions that I want to ask. When I talk to Jewish Rabbis or thinkers they would engage me forever, keep the coffee...
