I read through the help questions and didn't see the answers:
1. What is the minimum requirement for pay for hubpages ads program?
2. How does Hub pages pay me? ( I don't remeber giving them a bank account for deposit
3. Are the earnings given each month or do they start over once you get paid. In other words I'm up to .30 cents (woot woot!), am I guranteed that .30 cents forever OR once I get paid the $20 (or whatever the minimum is) I lose that money? So for example if I earned $20 from May- July (and the min. was $20) and I got paid in July, would I keep receiving $20 every month thereafter or do I have to build back up to that $20 starting in August?
As far as I can tell:
$50.
Probably paypal.
The earnings stay unless you turn the program off and don't use it for over 6 months.
ok so on the third one.. if I get up to $50 a month I can expect a payment for $50 for ..ever?
I thought that $50 was the minimum, but above that you would be paid the exact amount that you had earned in that pay period. Then it resets to $0. After you have earned another $50 or more - however long it takes you to earn that - you get paid whatever exact amount you have earned from the time it reset to $0, up through that pay period. At least, that's the way I have understood it.
So then basically you would be working your way up to $50 over and over again which could take you 3 months, or 10 months or 5 months (etc) at a time?
That's the way I have understood it. And you actually could receive more than $50 at a time, if that is what your Hubs have brought in from the time you last received a payment up until the then-current pay period is over.
Yes. You accrue whatever money you have earned. When you pass $50 you get paid whatever amount you have earned ($50 or more) in the next pay period, and start again.
So if it takes you a year to earn your first $50, then theoretically it will take you another year to earn your next $50? (and that whole time you wont receive anything?)
Not necessarily, no. Some Hubbers have commented on a snowball effect with Adsense. That is, the checks came more frequently after the first payout was achieved.
The HP ad program has said the earnings would likely be more evenly spaced than Adsense would be. But even so there would probably be seasonal fluctuations to some degree. Plus, if traffic increases over time, as everyone hopes will happen, then the earnings probably would too.
I havent made anything with Adsense. Is that normal? I'm up to .30 cents on HP. I figure in a year I'll be up to $30 woot woot!
Normal? Absolutely!!
So much depends on the SEO and marketing knowledge that one possesses when they start out with HP. But, having said that, a lot of very successful Hubbers don't make their Adsense payout until they have been writing here for many months, even a year or more. Many factors are involved, and there is no one pattern that fits every Hubber.
Search and read some of the forum topics comparing Adsense and the HP Ads program. They will help you more than I can.
Few hubbers make the $100 minimum payout from adsense in much under a year. As Aficionada says, it is very definitely a snowball effect, and the second payout typically comes much quicker.
I and many others have written hubs about our first few months experience, both traffic and earnings. My own hub is pre-panda, so those figures may not mean a whole lot now, but the concept behind it is still quite valid.
If you're looking for an idea of what you might expect, you might check out some of these kinds of hubs.
Thank-you so much for explaining this information. I didn't understand how I would get paid using the HubPages Ad program and now see there is a $50 minimum I have to work towards. You have been helpful.
It would be nice to have passive income that keeps coming in month after month, but there is nothing keeping the owners of Hubpages from doing to its writers what eHow did to theirs. So, it's a nice dream, but dreams can end very quickly.
I'm certainly not anti-poetry, but it's traditionally a poor earner in HP, so don't expect to reach payout quickly. Earning at a rate of 30 cents over 2 weeks, you would reach payout after about 6 years at that rate.
Consider writing about other topics, if you want to earn. If you want to just write poetry on here, don't expect to earn much. That's probably the brutal truth.
What did eHow do?
Personally I am happy with Hubads, it pays the best of any content site I have tried so far (that being ... 6 places I think, one of which folded).
Ehow suddenly told everyone that they could either take their articles away, or sell them to ehow, apparently. They bought everyone out and made it no longer a site for contributors from public.
Traqqer is right that there is no security. Hubpages might decide to be a social networking site, for instance, if the latest experiment fails and there wouldn't be much we could do!
That said Hubpages is one of the oldest and most stable content sites around. It is a good basket to have some of your eggs in.

Okay, so I only use Google AdSense and also using Google Analytics to track account activities. According to Hubpages, I've earned over $40 in the last month. However, according to AdSense, I've only earned $3, and I can't get paid until I hit at least $10. So who is lying to me right now? Is...

I was up to 95.16 on my adsense and then all of a sudden it stopped, but I don't remember making any changes - Since it is so close to the threshold, can someone please check my account to see why it is not registering hits any more? How can I fix this? I really appreciate your help.

Is google adsense only paying for clicks and not impressions? My adsense earnings have almost gone down to nothing. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm getting tired of seeing that I've earned a little money (okay, very little money) every month, being told that I do have an Adsense account AND my Hubpages posts are linked to Paypal, yet I don't get any deposits.I thought for sure I'd find an answer to this issue in the forums, but I haven't...

Hi everyone. I've been putting some work in writing quality articles the last few months, all my articles are approved as featured but earnings are still pretty low. I have earned a total of $1+ in two months, and with that speed it will take years to reach checkout. I have both Hubpages and...

I had earning a long time ago but, somehow, they disappeared. I am a computer dummie so I gave up trying to figure out how to get it back. The first two times were very difficult and twice is quite enough -- so I have no account and I no longer make a dime (I did get two payments over the years,...
