   I have published 3 hubs thus far, with a total earnings of $1.66: is it time to get frustrated and quit, or time to keep writing? I'm having huge issues in terms of getting search engine attention for my hubs, and I think part of this has to do with my refusal to sacrifice the quality of my work in order to flood it with keywords. That said, I am here to make money. Decisions, decisions.

   You are doing rather well, it seems. The norm for AdSense is $3-5 per 1,000 views. Keyword stuffing is frowned upon by Google, and will definitely not help. So, maybe keep developing what seems to be a promising niche, and link your related hubs together. There are people more knowledgeable about this than I, hopefully someone will contribute.

   It takes time and most often takes a lot more Hubs than you have right now.  I think most people on here (at least the ones who are earning anything at all decent) would tell you it's way, way, too early for you to get discouraged and quit.  You don't need to keyword-word stuff to get traffic.  In fact, that would work against your traffic.

   Evan it's a marathon, not a sprint.  It took me 11 months and about 200 hubs to start hitting the Adsense payout of $100 each month. While there are plenty of savvy hubbers who have done better, my stats were better than average.

   Don't get discouraged!  You need high-quality backlinks and relative keywords in your hubs, titles, urls and summary--but not excessive keywords--to make the first page of Google.  It also takes some time for your articles to age and be recognized as a valuable source on search engines.
   
   If you only have three hubs and have made as much as you say, you are on the right track.  JUst keep up the good work and try to write original articles that aren't already found somewhere else.  I use the Google keywords tool to find out what article titles to use.  It will tell you which terms have high competition and which do not (as well as how much people are searching for them).

   You're doing amazingly well. It took me about 6 months to make my first $5.
   
   I haven't written a hub for nearly a year now, and yet am still getting a few hundred a month. It takes time, but if you stick at it, and write quality content in topics that aren't too saturated, you'll get there.
