I've been reading some comments on liberal blogs, and the commenters are urging Dems in Michigan to vote for Santorum in the MI primary. They know Santorum won't stand a chance against Obama. So, do open primaries make the nomination process skewed? Rs did the same thing against Hillary by voting for Obama in primaries. I didn't like it then, and I don't like it now.
They? Who is they? Santorum stands as good as chance as anybody.
"They" are the commenters/bloggers. "They" say Santorum won't stand a chance against Obama, so "they" want him to be the GOP nominee. Sorry, but I pretty much agree with them. Santorum won't beat Obama with just the evangelicals and the far right. I don't see him as a fiscal conservative, anyway, based on the way he's voted as a DC insider. He's a social conservative - not a fiscal conservative. He couldn't even get on the ballot in some places.
Oh the bloggers, well there you go. I think the anti-Obama vote will be large and loud. This wont be an election for anyone but rather one against someone, and thats ok with me.
Opinion only, but I think that it is usually that way it happens any more - most people vote against someone rather for someone.
Obama was probably an exception - he has more melanin than the average caucasian American, and thus attracted a great number of voters that wanted a president with higher levels of that chemical in their skin.
Obama is a Noble Laureate whether the Americans accept it or not. Definitely he has won the hearts of many non Americans for many noble works apart from his eloquent speech of oratory in many occasions of United Nations. In America the existing climate is anti-Obama vote mainly because of rising the figure of unemployment and the over all economy of the country. Now the world is going through very difficult times. Heinous crime s like terrorism, corruption, extortions etc have raised their ugly heads as never before. It is now time for Americans to pick up a person who not only can improve the economic world status of the United States but also to give the value-oriented lesson to the world to eliminate the crimes like hatred and terrorism.
LOL - "Hey dudes, I just got a nobel prize for peace!! The wars are still going on, and instead of NOT torturing people, I merely outsourced who does the torturing!!"
One of two things is true: the Nobel Prize is meaningless, or Obama does not deserve it.
I like Open Primaries because picking between two parties has always been a false choice.

Should Newt bow out?Do you think Newt should leave the GOP primary and possibly toss votes over to the more conservative candidate, Rick Santorum?

Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum have both been suspended by Fox News. The suspension is for 60 days. If they don't announce their candidacy for president during this time, they can come back. Now, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin have not been suspended. Both are widely expected to run in 2012 as...
