I want to take a series of my hubs and publish them as an e-book on a niche topic that I write about. Can I do this or would I have to unpublish those hubs here?
It seems that it would be OK to do this?
Hello Paul.
Thanks for clarify this thing. plz clear one more doubt if we use few content (like top few lines) for social bookmarking submissions or in blog posting. Is this a duplicacy of content which effects our hub & total profile score or any Violation of HP guidelines.
Kindly clear this PAUL.
That would be great ,if we can republish it and make an ebook
I have been told by some people very much in 'the know' on these things (external to HP), that this is perfectly okay and you can leave your content on HP as well as publishing it in an eBook. I am guessing this is not just because it is your own content, but because Google won't have any issue with it either as they can't 'see' the content of an eBook, so there is no Adsense conflict of interests etc.
This is good, Mistyhorizon to know as I have been thinking of doing this but just not ready to do so yet. Waiting until I have more time to dedicate to it. Thanks for a great question, Dorsi
I just published 2 books with many hubs, but I did unpublish my hubs. Doesn't feel right to sell a book when they could come here and read for free
just saying.............
good luck to you
I felt exactly the same as you Kimberly, until it was pointed out to me that many people know that they can read it online already (in fact you can even state this in your eBook if you will feel more honest by doing so), but they often want to have the info to hand at all times, e.g. on a Kindle etc, and don't want to go online to find it, (especially if the information is split over a number of articles). Convenience can often be everything!
I've wondered about that, too - and also about the point Kimberly made. Although we do sometimes see anthology works and collections of things. My thought was to add sime content not found elsewhere to make it new as well as old.
Kimberly - how have your books done? Congratulations on publishing them!
If we can republish our own work as an ebook, why cant we use OUR writings on other blogs that WE own?
Someone already said that's because Google can't see (and index) e-books, but can see (and index) your blog.
It would seem to me that if you intend to publish a book, leaving the content freely available kind of defeats the purpose of going through the effort. Even if your intention is to give the book away for free it seems like an awful lot of work.
The formatting alone for my book took quite a bit of time and work for me, my cover artist and my editors.
RTE that's how I feel too, and glad It is so.
There are billions of sites on the Internet, not everyone can find your content at the drop of a hat. Lots of people want the info close to hand whenever they need it, and what about those who want to buy the eBook for a non-techy family member who just has a Kindle or something ( both my parents would fall into this category). There are loads of excellent reasons to publish your existing content as an eBook too.

As HubPages is strict as to only having content on their pages, I wonder if we are able to take the hubs (of which we own the content) and compile for a book or ebook?I look forward to hearing from other hubbers!

I hope I'm allowed to ask this question ! I make only pennies on my hubs. Granted only a few are evergreen, but I'm wonder if I would be better off taking one of my everygreen hubs which would lend itself well to an ebook app and publishing that way. I've used ibuild app and...

I am curious what kind of experience e-book authors have had. I am at a crossroads right now and am trying to make some decisions about where to focus my writing. I could focus more on HP or I could do the e-book gig and see what happens. What kind of experiences have people had...

Can you publish a collection of your Hubs as an ebook without violating "duplicate content" rules?I have heard people say they are publishing a collection of stories or poems as ebooks. Do they have to remove them from HubPages before publishing as an ebook in order to remain in good...

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...

Been here more than a year and not earning much at all. Which is no problem really but I do wonder how this works.I make about 2 dollars every month LOL. Does is accumulate every month to a certain amount and then you get paid, even if it's very little?
