If the end times prophesy come to fulfillment tomorrow?

This question is to my fellow believers!
I hear this question all the time.  “Are you ready for the coming of the Lord”?      Are YOU ready for that which is to come?

I ask them in rebuttal, “Are You ready for the coming of the Lord; and that which is to come?  I don’t think we are!
This is a cute little catch phrase. It feels SOoo good rolling off the tongue.  ...  But  Have we really thought this through?
Many Christians think that a tribulation is coming to punish the wicked. And US rightious folks are not going to deal with it!  Because we will be taken out before these things happen.    Wrong!

The purpose for a tribulation will be to test the self righteous; that we may be shown what we are really made of.  Are we really as strong spiritually, as we think that we are?
It is easy to be nice and friendly and get along with everybody, holding ourselves in high regard when things are going well.
But when EVERYTHING is going poorly? Less than poorly.
Are we going to hold fast to our moral standards, when we hear our children crying for food and we have none to give them?  Our neighbor has plenty of food!!!!
Are we going to keep our faith (in a life after death), or are we going to do “Anything” to preserve the life which we have and the life of our loved ones?
Are we really ready to make the choices that are surely to come?

Are You/we ready for the coming of the Lord?
We can only pray that we are.

All I can find as guidance is to 'watch and pray' to be accounted worthy.

      I agree with your statements.

When the rubber hits the road, ALL humanity will need to decide which side of the fence they fall.

The decision point will be made when the system is collapsed by the AntiChrist and folk either rely on the world system, or TRUST in God, watching and praying that they may be accounted worthy to escape all these things.

That last line presupposes that we may not escape ALL these things BEFORE they start happening, as does the line 'for this reason the times were shortened' in order to save the blood of the martyred.

Does that make me pre wrath or post trib.... no, it makes me be realistic about things, and watch and pray.

The end time is the time of the proofing TIME. You will need to be tested; you must understand to what it is that you are being tested against. If you do not , then you know not why or what for you are tested for. The Test is  to call you worthy of the calling to the Lord Our GOD.To fail the test is to be found wanting! Do you know or do you understand what the test is? Or Why it is? If not you will be one of the ones who are weeping and gnashing their teeth. For once you understand that you have fail twice over.  You will be utterly ashamed.  These are the Ones who think they have been serving the true Christ our Lord and in fact have been serving the devil or Satan the False Christ. The Anti- Christ!  Most do not understand the order in which our Lord will Come He will Come Last on the seventh Trump the seventh seal and the seventh vial porn and never before! TO NOT KNOW THIS IS TO BE FOOLED BY THE ANTI-CHRIST AND WILL CAUSE YOU A GREAT HURT.

To the Mayans, the date was 12-21-12. To Sir Isaac Newton, the date was 2035. It is said that Nostradamus, who was guided by biblical precepts could see to the year 3000+. Don't hold your breath.

Why does it have to be Either - OR ?

I think that they each might be correct.

How about ...? ...  2012 for the end of the 42 months of the beast.

2035 when the world as we know it is smashed to smitherines.
        (Lets call this Armageddon).

and then ....(Rev. 22:15)..  whoremongers, liars and theives etc. etc.  are seen outside of the city;  untill 2400 AD.

The mayan end time date is a fallacy. No mayan has any idea about this prophey. It is simply that a mayan calender ended on 21st 12 2012.

It didnt mean anything other then the calender didnt go on forever. It didnt mean the end of the world.

I saw a documentary where a whole bunch of mayans were asked about this end of the world date and not one of them had any idea what the questionner was talking about.

    me
With all due respect I'd like to express where I am coming from.
What I see when I read it.

To me ...  Pre tribulation or Post tribulation is not an issue.

Cause ..  I do not happen to be a Futurist.   And I'm neither a Preterits nor Historists !  ..
I will admit to being a Preterits’ in regards to the seven seal judgments.

    @@@@@
EDIT   but not for the same reasons that they happen to believe.
I do not agree with their interpretations.
    @@@@

But then I switch camps. I become a Historists.
I believe that opening of The seven seals pertain to That Hebrew Nation for which all OT prophesy was directed to and for, and as forewarned but sealed (as was the case in Daniel 12:4).
I believe that this seal which Daniel was directed to place on the book "IS" one of the seven seals which Jesus later opens.
And if you notice, ...  As soon as the blood soaked Lamb of God arrives in heaven (Rev. 5:6) He immediately takes the BOOK and Immediately begins to open the seals.  In my mind this is saying that the same year that Jesus was crucified, the four horsemen were released and this judgment was released upon that Hebrew Nation responsible for rejecting the Christ.
These things being described "IS" the great tribulation which was spoken of by earlier prophesies.
And THEN ... when the sixth seal is broken a great multitude are seen in heaven and when asked John said to the angel "Thy Knowest" who they are.
The angel then said ...  these are they which came OUT OF the great tribulation.  They didn't avoid the tribulation but went through it and came out the other side so-to-speak.
The great tribulation had already happened before the seven seals are handed out.
And then (afterwards) When the seventh seal was opened, A passing of time is dully noted before the seven angels with the seven trumpets enter into the picture.

This is something to think about?  The Beast had not even entered the picture YET.

This is just one of 500 pieces of the puzzle which should not have been a puzzle in the first place.
But then again I guess God intended it that way.
      Just my opinion.

Many people consider the "Little Horn" described in Daniel 7:8 as being "THE" AntiChrist.

In thise case it can only be Hadrian.
The 10th. king of the fourth kingdom was Titus.  As you know Titus was the son of the Emperor when he marched his army to Jerusalem to put down a revolt. As a result the Temple and most of the city was destroyed,
Until his father died and he became the 10th emperor of Rome, he continued to hunt down and kill the so called rebels.

Three other emperors followed when Hadrian became the 14 and LAST emperor of Rome to have dominion over the Hebrew Nation.
He caused every Hebrew that he could find,to be carried away and sold into slavery, scattered across the rest of the Roman Empire.
        Rev. 12:6
And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepaired that they should feed her there 1260 days.

1260 days in prophesy would be approx 1644 years.

According to the 1st century church watching events of their time, tribulation has already happened. Jesus said in Matthew 24:21 that the times of tribulation surrounding the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70 would be of great  affliction, such as has not happened before and will not ever be again. A read up of the historical facts around this time where millions of Jews were slaughtered and ethnically cleansed from Palestine will confirm that tribulation has come and gone. Oh and the Antichrist was accepted as being Emporer Nero.

So where are we now in the scriptural timeline?

Did we miss Christ coming back?

The interesting thing DH is that your quest and travels through scripture eventually bring you back to the beginning... or at least mine did when I took that route.

I don't think that anyone can make any sense from the book of Revelation unless we attempt to establish some kind of chronological order that these prophesy is said to happen.
If we notice there are a lot of "And Then" and "And then's" written in the book of Rev.

In my opinion this is what the 9th xhapter of Daniel is all about.
It establishes a time line comparison between prophetic time and our time.

In 538 BC Gabriel told Daniel that it will be 62 weeks and then they will kill the Messiah. If Jesus was the Messiah; approx 568 years later they did.

           It really is that simple.
When Gabriel interprets these prophesy for us; why do we continue to change their meanings with further interpretation?

I think we are post tribulation. The events surrounding AD 70 were so barbaric, perilous, and horrific for Israel. Jesus stated that all the blood of the prophets would be visited on that generation. From what I understand, the Jews were almost wiped out.

Did we miss Christ coming back? Well he certainly gave the impression that his return would be very soon after his ascension. The Church believed it was imminent, certainly Paul appears to have believed so. In Revelation we are told that John was to write down things that were soon to come to pass.

Now his return was expected to be a huge world changing event on literal clouds of glory. When this was not apparent, the young Church put off the expectation to their near future. Down the centuries, when this big return was continually not apparent, the church has interpreted and reinterpreted Revelation in accordance with the events of their times, putting off his return to their near futures. Thus now where we have paranoia about a European Federal State and RFID chip implants.

But to answer your question, it makes little sense to me. Everything Jesus prophesied in Matthew 23 and 24 was quickly fulfilled, yet his return in the commonly expected form has not. 2000 years is not an accurate description of lo I'm coming soon.

Let's not forget the dream in Daniel of the rock hewn from the mountain of God that smashed the statue of kingdoms and itself continually grew until the kingdom filled the Earth. That rock Jesus from Heaven, appeared at the time of the last kingdom, Rome, and his kingdom on Earth has been in continual growth since. I've no doubt this kingdom will fill the Earth. But there is no mention here of a world changing 2nd coming of that rock. In a sense, he did return by sending his spirit to the upper room and his spirit operating in believers lives has been the powerhouse behind his kingdom's growth since.

      I have to agree.
Except that the concept of "The Anti Christ" such as it is today did not exist in the 1st. century.  There is great confusion as to what is meant by Anti Christ and ... "THE" Anti Christ.

The "Little Horn" as described as THE Anti Christ in Daniel, in my opinion, can be no other that the 14th "king" belonging to the 4th kingdom that had dominion over THAT Hebrew Nation which Hadrian (14 Emperor of Rome).
Hadrian brought about the End of Days for that Nation.

So where, in this analogy, was the return of Christ?

If you believe that the rest of the prophesy has already occurred, and that Hadrian (or Nero) was the AntiChrist, then within 7 years of the revelation of the Antichrist, Christ should have returned.... so when did that happen?

        Again.... did we miss it?

I see Matthew 24 coming to fruition in ALL things as we watch, mainly because never before have ALL these things come to pass at the same time.

How would you explain the time difference between Hadrian/Nero and today?

        1. Jerami profile image58

OOps  went out side for a while;  wasn't ignoring YA.

So where, in this analogy, was the return of Christ?
If you believe that the rest of the prophesy has already occurred, and that Hadrian (or Nero) was the Anti Christ, then within 7 years of the revelation of the Antichrist, Christ should have returned.... so when did that happen?      = - = - =

I believe that what is understood as the return of Christ is greatly misunderstood.
According to the 70 weeks as described in Daniel; 62 weeks passed (568 years) and he was killed.  (a week =s approx 9.13 years)
seven weeks later would be approx 64 years later.
At the same time he appeared to John.
The 70 weeks that the children of Daniels people were given to quit sinning and anoint the most Holy would have been completed around 103 AD, 40 years later the nation of Israel ceased to be for they had come to their end of days. They were carried away into the wilderness for a time period of 1260n Prophetic days. =s approx 1644 years.

          =====================================
          Again.... did we miss it?

          = - = - = -

In my opinion ...  When he came in the clouds, there was no mention of his landing upon the ground. The 144,000 Hebrews were caught up, being redeemed from among mankind, and "SOME" of them which lay in the graves.

and then as Daniel 11:44 notes, when the little horn comes to his end; At that time Michael stands up for the children of Daniels people.
(Rev. 7:9)a great multitude was seen coming into heaven.  ...  This does NOT say that this is the 1st resurrection, because it isn't.
There would not have been a better time for 144,000 people to suddenly disappear un noticed than while the entire population was being scattered across the entire Roman Empire. There were 100,ooo's  of Hebrews being killed and who knows how many died on the wayside.

             So, Yes it went unnoticed.

According to scripture;  all of this is to happen AND THEN  some time passes before the trumpet judgments are seen being handed out.

It is also written that Satan gives his seat and his power to the seven headed beast.  Then the dragon is bound for a 1000 years AND when the sixth bowl is poured out, then spirits come out of the mouths of the Dragon, the beast and from the mouth of the False Prophet. These spirits bring the kings of the world together to battle.
          ###
edit    any how;  the 1000 years are contained within the 42 months.
          ###
This is where I believe we are at today in prophesy.
Waiting for the final trumpet and for the last bowl to be poured out.

In my opinion, the sixth trumpet was sounded around 900 AD which is when the 1000 years began.
The first bowl was poured out just before the bubonic plague killed 1/2 to 2/3s of the population of Europe and Asia.

Without some kind of timeline comparison between prophetic time and ours, we will NEVER be able to understand prophesy.
Hope I'm not coming on too strong with my "OPINION" ,  but, Well I feel that strongly about it.
