I have been through a lot of ups and downs with my other account, but this account has been pretty stable until the past several weeks.  My traffic was cut in half several weeks ago and then today it dropped another 75%.

I would have thought I would be used to the roller coasters, but it still doesn't sit well when I see these kind of drops.

My other account is maintaining just fine.

    Oh well...

That's interesting, Ginny. I too, have seen this sudden drop occur only in the last 24 hours. And that's after publishing a new Hub yesterday, which normally gives me about a week of more-than-usual inflated numbers. Methinks the Big 'G' is just in turmoil right now with results. Not to mention the typical downturn in search traffic in the U.S. when the weather starts getting nice.

been monitoring mine the past 2 days. I initially dropped from 300 plus views to 200. Now I'm well below 100 views daily.

It seems google is playing around with their algo again.

Sigh.... and when I was starting to do so well too. Was planning to pick up my hub writing next month too.

The authority site I built less than two months ago is doing pretty well though and is now PR 2 already. I'm gonna focus on my sites first and see what happens to my hubs the next couple of weeks.

Who knows, what might happen. Might stop writing and promoting hubs for a while till I know what's happening.

I'm glad I came into the forums today! I thought I was the only one having problems. On all my sites and articles my viewings have dropped substantially! I have been busy promoting ect but that has had no effect either. What to do I just don't know......

I suffered a 50% drop a few weeks back.  No big changes at the moment though.  Good luck!

I wish HP would explain why this is happending. It can't be "normal."

It's not HP it's Google - and I doubt even Google know what is happening otherwise they wouldn't be constantly changing their algorithm!

I've also been having falling traffic issues on both my hubs and Squidoo lenses over the past week, so my best guess would be the usual summertime traffic drop (esp. since the summer travel season is now getting underway), as well as high school and college finals/graduation worldwide.

However, there was also a celebrity death (Donna Summer) today and that may have caused traffic drops for a lot of people this afternoon, myself included.

from a peak of 400 daily down to 26 a day lol.

    Amazing!

It's either a new google update or an old update catching up to new sites/pages.

    I doubt it's a summertime drop truefaith7.

The drop in views happened in only a day or two and it's too massive to be attributed to a social factor.

My money is on a new google algorithm.

I saw something else all together. I reached a peak of 1100 hits yesterday from an average of 150 daily and now it is back to 500+ from 2-3 hours. Looks like there are some big experiments going on at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View

Removing all my spammy posts. I was doing an amazon list experiment recently and I'm thinking that might be it. Based on the across the board drop on all my hubs, my research tells me this might be a Panda update catching up since the penguin one supposedly is page specific.

I'll be doing quality checks and editing all my hubs the next couple of days and ill see what happens.
