Adsense problems

    I read everything I could find in the Help Center, so please don't think I'm just resort to this without first exploring it.  I applied for Adsense and was denied for lack of content.  Then the other day I clicked configure and it let me, giving me a number CA-pub-601 blah, blah as a "publisher"  The Adsense account says "active."  I am able to get reporters from Hub Page earnings, but when I click for AdSense reports, it takes me to my application, which still says at the top in red:  declined.  When I try to "configure" or reapply, it tells me I already have an active AdSense account and can't apply again.
    I did receive one email from Google telling me to implement the html code.  A very kind me on this forum told me to do the configure thing, which brought me to this point.  No one seems to know anything about implementing the html code and I certainly don't.  I found it but cannot paste it in my source html without editor software which would cost more than I'll make in six months.
    I'm thinking of just going to one of the other writing sites, but I hate to because I'm just becoming comfortable here.  If anyone has a clue, please let me know.  I will be back at my computer in one hour.
    Thanks,
    marsei

      You don't implement the html code, that only applies to if you have your own site.  You just have to enter your affiliate ID in the affiliate settings, and HubPages does the rest.

        I have gone thru the process of clicking configure or get started or whatever it is, that yes, I have an account, my email is already there, but I supply the phone number and zip.  When it says link my accounts, I click and it takes me to the application, which says that it is not approved.  I have no idea why.  I have 15 hubs and my rating hovers between 89 and 93, so I assume the content is decent.   The only email I have received from adsense has said it was denied because I have not activated the html.  It's become a comedy of errors and I'm beyond frustrated.  Thank you so very much for the information and for taking time to help.

          At this point an email to team@hubpages.com may help you out. They may be able to provide some conclusive answers to help you resolve this issue.

              You are welcome. Not sure why a delay. I usually get a response relatively quick from the team. During the week, usually within 24 hours. However I am sure there are times that they get overwhelmed and fall behind in such things. It happens to me, in the various endeavors I do online. smile  I do hope they respond soon.

    Hi Maresi,
    I think a lot of people fall into this little catch22 pit. It's not very well explained at all.
    Amy Gillie explains it all in this Hub;

    Good luck

    Thank you, Horatio.
    I did exactly what she said, checked yes, that I had an account, then added the information, which is now phone and zip instead of email.  I got a confirmation email from Google which gave me a link to follow and that link sent to straight back to my application, which said it was denied.  I'm at the end of my rope and looking for a new writing site.  Thanks so much for your help.  I've tried just about everything I can think of and no one seems to kow what I should do.  I had already done the process she talks about in her article before with the same results.  I'm past frustrated!
    Thank you so much for your time and effort.
