I always receive this suspicious notification from Hubpages every 12:38 (after midnight) in our time here in the Philippines. This notification posts all the hubtivities of all hubbers except my own. The recent hubs that I had published were never mentioned in these notifications; some 10 hubs already.
Another suspicious notification is that one in a window that appears when I click to go to my Hubpages which states "Something was wrong and if you have time you may report this issue to the Hubpages forum."
Will I just ignore all these?
That email lets you know what new hubs the people you are following have written, of course your own don't appear on it.
I don't know about the "something was wrong" thing. There's been a lot of bugs recently.
As for the notifications, people get notifications on those they follow and/or things like Hubs or Answers they commented on unless a) they make sure their settings are on (essentially) "Don't notify me about x"; and b) that they uncheck the "follow this ______" box at the lower corner of things like individual Questions/Answers. (Well, if you look right under the "reply" box on the forums here, you'll see yet another "Follow this ____" box.
So, I'm guessing there's a good chance what you're receiving is a matter of your not having the settings you'd prefer and/or you're not making sure that box isn't checked when you say something somewhere.
Hi Lisa HW,
Thank you.
I had actually reported this to Team Hubpages and they told me the same thing as you do such as the setting and I always see to it that the "green box" that says "follow" is checked as I was told.
I think you are right that "there's been a lot of bugs recently".
Thank you for the response, maybe I will just have to ignore all these and hope that these could not alter or harm the activities that I am really fond of doing here in Hubpages.
I receive the daily emails from HP because I opted for them. I enjoy seeing the recent activity on those that I follow. I am considering changing the questions emails that I get however, as they seemingly come in way to often, each and every time a member I follow posts a new question. I don't need the emails that often for questions, lol, plus they appear on my stats page at the top whenever I go there.
Dale Hyde,
Exactly. I actually don't need the notifications that often too. I will find out how I could change the question mails. Also I don't anymore answer many questions recently. I only answer those that really interest me. I used to enjoy answering in the forums and posting new topics in the forums too but I found out that I would just sound provocative or being misinterpreted so I just had to stop or do once in a while.
Thank you Dale for your valuable suggestion.
You are most welcome, Jynzly. As for answering the questions, I used to do more until it just sort of got out of hand, lol. Many of the questions are simply like spamming for more views as many make no sense.
The forum community can be a tad testy at times without a doubt. You certainly will see a vast assortment of responses in many various "tones" to what you may post. I have simply learned to ignore what certain members publish simply because they always seemingly post in an arrogant manner. I would not let those keep you from participating in the forum or shying away.
Dale Hyde,
I definitely agree with your sound observation concerning the "sort of got out of hand" and the "arrogance"...but that's the way it is and the best thing that I can do is to just keep myself away...though I would not say that I would completely keep away from it. Admittedly, I love the forum especially when well-meaning people express their thoughts and experiences in certain matters in hand. I would still post some questions once in while when I really have some important matters to confide and which need varied ideas.
If you go to your Accounts page, click Profile, then email settings, or follow this link:

you will be able to choose what types of notifications you want to receive via email.

It would be great if we received notification of new comments. I was reviewing my hubs today and found comments that I didn't know were there. This notification could be on the account page or, better yet, by email.

Just curious, I usually am bombarded with e-mails telling me about new hubs. Yesterday, July 5th, I didn't receive one and traffic on my hub was strangely low. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi everyone,Tonight, I got notifications for half the hubs published, but didn't get anything from e.g. Frieda Babbley, Pest, and others. I noticed the new hubs on hubtivity. Is anyone else experiencing a problem with getting notifications for new Hubs of people you're a fan of?Thanks,Elena

For the past month I have not been getting messages of new comments. I did check my notification settings and it is still set for me to get a notification for each new comment on my hubs to be sent to my e-mail address I have had since starting my account with HP 3 years ago. I have not...
