I recently found out that Flickr user had stolen all the text from a hub of mine and posted it under their photo at Flickr. I posted a comment there over a week ago asking them to remove it but this has been ignored.
So I have just filed an Abuse report at Flickr against this user who has been stealing the traffic for my work as well as violating my copyright.
I've seen plenty of copyright infringement there, especially with photos obviously, seeing as it is primarily a photo sharing/image hosting website.
It wasn't my photo they had stolen but my text!
I know. That's quite something. I haven't seen something like that before, but it's possible, as you found out! I'll mainly see text copied and pasted on forums, blogs, and articles. So this was in the description beneath the photo, then?
Yes underneath a photo of a flower. It does give the link to my hub under the text but I found in Google search results that this thief got a much better ranking than I do! That really annoyed me seeing as I did a lot of work writing and publishing a hub just to find all the text stolen and posted elsewhere taking my much-needed traffic! And did they tell me or ask? No!
I don't blame you...I'd be pretty annoyed too! I hope you can force the person to delete your work.
Well, after posting a polite comment asking that they remove it in their comments section and waiting a week I have had enough!
UPDATE: I just had this message back from Flickr: "Thank you for contacting Flickr Member Support.
The Flickr team greatly respects the intellectual property
of creators. Issues of infringement are handled for us by
the specialists within the Yahoo! Copyright Team. Please
click the "Copyright/IP Policy" link that's available in the
footer of every page to reach your Yahoo! Copyright Team,
where you will be able to file a Notice of Infringement.
Thank you again for contacting us. If you have any other
questions, please feel free to reply to this email.
Regards,
Flickr staff"
So now I have had to do as suggested by them. I find that annoying too that Flickr won't deal with a problem on their own site but refer me to Yahoo to deal with it!

I'm planning a hub about one particular actor in one particular scene of a movie. Without a visual representation of the actor in the scene the article would be meaningless, but no free or non-copyrighted photos appear to exist. To me this seems a classic case for Fair Use, as reflected in this...

About once a week I peruse my hubs to check on traffic, comments, and just generally see how things are going. One of my hubs, "What Are The Benefits of Eating Bananas," had the copyright symbol next to it. I know from past experience that this means hubpages has found my content...

Is there a way the editors or ourselves can put in place protection for our published content against future copyright infringement and AI tools that take content from various sources without crediting it? Thanks.

My article was stolen and posted in a blog where there is no means to contact the blogger. The worst part of it all is that the blogger did not even remove my name/link t hub pages, Can someone help me, what can I do?
