It seems Adsense would pay more with HP program on but doesn't

Since I have made payout half way through the month with HP program and I am close to making payout with Adsense.  I decided to shut off the HP program and just run Adsense.

The odd thing is I was getting .01 clicks for Adsense with PH program on and higher way higher earnings with it off.

I thought it would be the opposit.  I thought the least amount of Adsense blocks the higher the earnings.  Because of the computation for the advertisers.

Has anyone noticed this after shutting off the HP program?

The HP ad program and Adsense share the same ad blocks in a hub. When the HP program is off then Adsense gets all the ad blocks, thus higher Adsense earnings.

Why would you think that?  With the HP Ads program switched off, you are showing more Adsense ad blocks, therefore there is a much higher chance of readers clicking on the ads.  While you have HP Ads switched on, you have only one Adsense block, way down at the very end of the Hub where no one is likely to see it, so you get very few clicks.

You think fewer ad blocks should = more earnings?

      Why would you think that?
