As anyone who has read my writing knows, I'm not a fan of religion. I'm also not a fan of wannabe trolls, masquerading as atheists, preaching their nonsense louder than most Christians.
You don't believe in God? That's fine, we get it.
You think that religion is a dangerous, and potentially destructive institution? Hey, I'm right there with you.
But knock it off with the b.s. attacks on religion simply for the sake of attacking religion. I'm not a Christian, but I still say "Merry Christmas" to people. I'm not Jewish, but I won't serve Shrimp Cocktail when my Jewish friends are over for dinner.
There are honest-to-goodness problems in this world, stop wasting time on the cosmetic ones.
How would they be holier than thou if they couldn't preach nonsense?
I enjoy reading the atheistic viewpoint; except when it is presented with the same amount of arrogant and egotistical assurance as a religionist displays. The church gave us the Spanish Inquisition and now we have the Dawkins Inquisition; courtesy of the most militant of the atheistic viewpoints. Thank goodness they don't get to burn the heretics at the stake these days.
We've become so engrossed in bad mouthing religion that we've become extremists ourself... Not that we shouldn't continue, but we should definitely stop trying to make atheism what it isn't.
1) Religion is a sense of belief. Atheism is a lack of belief, and therefore isn't a thing.
2) Us atheists should adopt the apathetic view, and just stop giving a crap about it... Let the ecclesiastical moon faces waste there lives in a downward spiral in to disillusionment and disappointment.
Here endeth the first lesson...

Do you believe religion is needed for morality? Is the bible the only guide to morality? If you believe these things, do you really think you would go around commiting crimes and immoral acts if the bible didn't tell you not to? I actually give (most) people more credit than that, don't you? If this...

Atheism only means the lack of a belief in God. Why is it so hard for Christians to realize that we dismiss their religion for the same reasons that they dismiss all other religions? It doesn't make us horrible people, immoral, or mean that we are going to hell. It just means that we think the...

What are the most annoying responses Christians give to questions atheists ask?I'm a christian and I think that it would be helpful in ministry, if Christians new a bit more about how atheists felt about a Christian's rebuttal

Why do atheists preach against God but hate when believers preach about Him?Atheists think Christians are foolish. Well it has been a long time & God has not been proven false! I constantly hear them preach against the Lord yet get angry when Christians preach to them. This is the...

The amount of attacks against religion in these HubPages Religion & Beliefs forums is akin to Communist Russia between 1925-1947 with the League of the Militant Godless (aka the Union of Belligerent Atheists). Because these aggressive types just make up a small minority of society it is...

Are atheists rebelling against 'bad religion' because God's image has been tarnished by the church?"By believing in God, you have gained something; spirituality. By disbelieving in God, you have lost something; sanity." Abdus Salaam
