He's still speaking, but I like what I've heard so far. This, of course, is in regard to the infamous video.
Mr. Obama’s sure is good with a teleprompter.
Yes it has, just as Mr. Obama’s administration inability to keep the focus on matters of state, not b.s daytime liberal TV programs, Florida D.Js, come of pimp with a limp are you kidding me?
wonderful speech..i just read the transcript...
Obama . . . in support of freedom of speech? That's almost funny.
Have you protested anything lately? Have you ever taken a photograph, worn a hoodie or driven a van? Yup, you're a suspected terrorist according to the government.

Thanks, Habee!
Is it just me, or is this entire situation this week surreal? (not that the last few weeks have not been nightmarish in their own right).
How, exactly, has it come to be that the President of the United States has been backed into the position of "defending" (but not apologizing for) an inflammatory, derogatory, clearly designed to incite widespread reaction, poorly made piece of trash on the basis of free speech?
Right now? As we close in on November 6?
And balancing that with the entire Muslim world wanting the opposite: to implement restrictions on saying anything bad about Islam. Period. In other words, silencing free speech.
Then we have the leader of Israel pressuring him to "put a ring on it" with his country against Iran* and the leader of Iran pretty much vowing to wipe that pesky upstart Israel off the map for good.
And for good measure, we have Romney speaking at an event hosted by Bill Clinton, where he has a bully pulpit for his own foreign aid ideas based on -- wait for it -- -JOB CREATION!
It seems like a bad acid trip in my little brain.
Anyone else having trouble sorting out the real threats vs. the posturing here?

The actual quote from the Iranian President:
"Israel's occupation of Palestine must vanish from the pages of time"
Our freedom of speech is one thing that makes us different from so many other nations, and I was glad to see the POTUS defending it.
I was also happy to see Romney and Clinton working together for a common cause. I think job creation would be great for third world nations. Many times, unrest is fueled by poverty. I didn't see Romney's entire speech, though. Did he make any major gaffes?? lol
I saw the president's speech. I thought it was wonderful. I can only hope that the countries in the Middle East can better appreciate and understand the right to freedom of speech.
He can talk about free speech all he wants.
He's trying to suppress it.

Thought about doin' a hub but what's the use? After a quick review I found He used the first person "I" 96 times and his comment slamming the Bush administration, something he never does you know, saying many referred to it as the 'lost decade' has never been used by anyone to...

Do we really have freedom of speech?

Why are Christians permitted by law to prosyletize on the streets? Shouldn't it be made illegal?Religious organizations do not pay taxes so they should not be permitted the use of the streets for their 'work.' In addition, as much as there is freedom of speech, there is also the freedom to not hear...

Today we are seeing a movement toward tolerance or at least what we think as tolerance. Bulling has become a hot button issue in the public (as if it didn’t happen anytime before) with many different groups against it. But does the speech version of bullying have any constitutional protection? You...

Is there a limit to freedom of speech?Granting that we live in a society and what a person does can affect others. Should there really be freedom of speech, meaning you can say whatever you want to say. What is your opinion about this?
