Hey there... I'm just having one of those difficult moments where I'm not feeling like I'm doing a good enough job.
I have about 74 hubs right now.  I joined a little over 2 years ago, but was inactive for most of that.  I just started really being active again a few months ago... anyway...

I have 2 hubs that are at an "83" and then the scores slowly dwindle down through the 70's & 60's... when I post new ones they generally start at around 55 or so...

I'm super bummed out about this because I want to have hubs ranking in the "best" of their categories and ranks in the 90's if not 100.

So, since there are way to many to post links to and it isn't just 1 I'm worried about... feel free to hop on over to my profile page & check out whichever one catches your eye or interest.

I would really appreciate some serious feedback and constructive criticism here.  I just want to be the best smile

I am a newbee here. But created my profile 2 years ago. Don't be disheartened. The readability has been reducing day by day. I really trying hard to think the point system in hubpages. I will definitely visit your hubs and have a look and also comment on those which are interesting to me.

      Thanks

New hubs generally start off with a low score, it's not a reflection of their quality.  My hubs' scores fluctuate constantly - the one that gets the best traffic is rarely the one with the best Hub score.

I'd forget about Hub scores.  I like to obsess about my traffic stats instead big_smile

I do look at my traffic stats, pretty much every day.  I'm still trying to figure out how to bring those up as well.  I read the hubs on how to get more traffic, but they are confusing to me.
I guess I need to get better at figuring out how to market myself.

IMHO you should focus on tangible measures of success like traffic and/or earnings.

I should be getting my first payout soon.  I reached the mark this month but I don't know if that means it won't count until next month or what.  I'll just have to wait and see when I get paid.
I would love to get enough traffic to be paid monthly, but I'm really far away from that right now.  If I keep things up the way I have been, I might be able to earn 2 checks a year from hubpages.

Don't be down about it, I'm a complete newbie, only been doing this just over a month, I have 7 hubs and I've made a grand total of $0.23 despite all the hubs having good rankings. Some days I feel like jacking it all in, but I know that if I keep at it I'll eventually get the hang of it. It's all very big and confusing at the moment. Stick with it MomKat! I'll go check yours out now. ( I've also just started my own website which is doing even worse..2 hits today..aaarrrgh!)  Alyson

      Thanks travelschooling.
I'm no where near wanting to give up.  I just have really high standards for myself.
I appreciate your willingness to check out my work.  That is so awesome of you!

Don't obsess over your Hub Score it really does not mean that much, as long as is is not less than 40 you will be fine... If you write a Hub with a few capsules, pictures, videos, etc. then it will always end up with 70+ other than that it really does not matter in the slightest!
If you are on here to make money then traffic for each Hub is far more important and that is where you need to focus not the hub score..

Money is nice, yes... but that isn't my focus right now.
I just really like seeing those high marks on my profile & on each hub.
I know they don't mean a whole heck of a lot to many people, and that it isn't THAT big of a deal... it's just one of those glitchy things about me I guess.
It makes me feel more accomplished when the scores are higher, that's all.
I have a touch of OCD, just a touch... and lately I've been focused on those numbers smile
