Links to my hubs.

   I have written over 140 hubs....most are on the same subject....so it makes it very hard to find a specific hub in that subject.  My idea to solve this issue was to create a link hub so people would be able to find my hubs.  After doing the following hub

   ...numerous people think it will be pulled soon for being over promotional.  So I am looking for some suggestions to get my links out there(assuming that my current hub is about to be pulled for being to promotional)....for almost 2 years they were listed in my profile...but with the recent profile page remodel....links are not allowed. 
   
   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Index Hubs are perfectly acceptable, IF all the Hubs are on the same topic AND they are more than just a list of links.
      
      Your Hub meets the first requirement - all about movies.  I'm not so sure about the second, because there's only one line of text for each entry.    My feeling would be that's not enough, and you need two or three lines of text for each link.

   Making index hubs is pretty common for people with a lot of hubs. I would suggest using a better url.

      Good luck Cogerson.  Using a better URT is like greek to me.  Do not understand the technology.  Good luck with getting your links out there.

            Currently the hub is still published....I have included some other information in the hub as well....so maybe it will survive the "too promotional" label.....which is confusing because all 107 links go back to HubPages...abd should we not want to push HubPage hubs?  Ever since the profile changed...my views have gone from 1000 a day to 600 a day....and even I can not find my hubs on the new profile.....Thanks for all of your suggestions.

      Thank you Sunshine625....we have now crossed the 48 hour mark...that has to be a good sign....hopefully the Grim Reaper is not hanging outside the patient's door....lol.

   I have 5-6 index hubs just like this.  They have never been flagged overly promotional.  I am promoting hubpages.  Hubpages is okay with that

   I really would have thought it would be OK to have an "Index Hub."
   
   I can appreciate that HubPages don't want to host pages that look too much like "link farms" (for search placement purposes)... but if that is the case, they should allow people to create custom categories/sub-categories on profile pages to make navigation easier.

   I write in the sincere hope that you do not have a problem with this page of links. One drawback of writing on a site like HubPages is that we don't have 'home pages' which can provide links to all our related pages. All we have is a profile page, but the new profile layout doesn't allow alphabetical links to a specific group of very closely related hubs (such as movie stars). Instead people have to scroll thru' all the hubs in the hope of finding something they want to read. Other ways must be found for us to link pages together to make it easy for readers to navigate around our hubs, and an index page such as yours seems like the obvious solution.
   
   As you say, your links are all to Hubpages so I don't see why there should be a problem  - it's not as though you're taking people away from the site - but I don't know how the system works in that regard.
   
   As you know I have a hub which lists 100 of my favourite films and 21 of these so far have links to hubs I've written. I also have 'home page hubs' on travel and astronomy which list all my hubs on these subjects. So far I haven't had a problem. I have made the links just a part of the page, rather than the whole page, by including a lot of generalised info as well - 'thoughts on what makes a great film' - that sort of thing. As a result each page has a lot of original info quite apart from the links. Maybe that helps the page from being over promotional.
   
   My advice such as it is would be to keep it as it is if you're happy with it, and see what happens. If you really need to amend it, then maybe split it into two or three index pages (eg: hubs dealing specifically with male actors, hubs dealing specifically with actresses, and hubs dealing with movies and directors), and add some other introductory information so there's less links and more original content.
   
   Hopefully, that won't be necessary though. I know you have a very good reputation on HubPages Cogerson, so if human HubPages staff input rather than purely algorithm driven control is involved in these decisions I'm sure you'll be allowed to keep the index page. By the way, my views have dropped by a proportionate amount (nearly 500 to below 400) in the same time period, but I'm not sure that's down to the change in the Profile Page. According to Greekgeek, there was a new Panda update (not that I understand that!) in late September which may have affected views.
   
   All the best though. Hopefully the new Index page will be successful.

      My approach is to add all the links shown on the statistic page to an excel spreadsheet. (you could do the same in word with manual filtering). You can export the list as a csv file, or copy from the page into word and edit.
      Its a pain with a large number of hubs at the start, but once you have the file it is relatively easy to add new links as you publish them.
      => add the autofilter
      => each time you want a list of relevant links - enter a term in the filter
      => copy the links you have filtered into Word and convert the table to text
      => edit the list of links for size and relevance
      => create a text capsule withe heading "Related Articles on -----"
      => add the links, set to bold and edit till they show as you want them.
      
      If you do this for each of your hubs you will interlink them using highly relevant links which boosts ranking.
      
      When you publish a new hub go back an add links to this new page on related old hubs.
      
      The best links are the ones you add to the text itself using the insert a link button (chain link symbol) within a text capsule - this will suggest your own relevant links for you - great tool.

   I am pulling for your page I don't think you did anything wrong and it is a great idea. I don't see anything wrong with it so I actually loved it when I went to it when you posted it.
