   In YOUR HONEST opinion, do YOU think that America have a Democratic or Republican President and/or majority in Congress in 2016?   Why?  Why not?

      Yes, I think that America wil have a Democratic or Republican President and/or majority in Congress in 2016. Because I don't think a third party can win.
      That's a twist on your question I bet you weren't expecting :-) But boy it is a hard one to predict. I'd say if Barrack Obama gets his way on most issues like taxing the rich with no spending cuts, ruling the land by executive order and doing nothing that will stop Iran from getting the bomb which they will have by 2016 it will be a republican landslide (assuming the Republicans have a decent candidate and don't screw it up). If on the other hand the economy turns out to be much more resilient than analysts predict and unemployment/economy gets much better by 2016 then the democrat welfare state electorate will keep them in power despite overspending, Iran and dictatorial rule by the whitehouse.

            What planet are you from? No one said they have it, yet, but all the evidence points to the fact they are developing one and plan to get it. Show me one bit of evidence to the contrary. U.S. intelligence agencies don’t think that Iran is actively trying to build an atomic bomb. Intelligence reports say it stopped trying to create a nuclear warhead in 2003. (why try to create a warhead if you don't plan on getting a bomb) Iranian leaders have said their nuclear program is solely aimed at producing electricity and other peaceful purposes. But Iran hasn’t fully cooperated with the United Nations nuclear watchdog group, the International Atomic Energy Agency, creating doubt in the minds of many analysts about what it is up to. A November report by the IAEA found evidence that Iran might still be doing clandestine research on how to create a weapon, undercutting its claims that it has purely peaceful aims.
            Iran is also enriching uranium to higher levels than experts believe necessary for most peaceful uses. Iran says it is enriching uranium to roughly 20% to fuel a research reactor, well above the minimum needed to generate electricity but still far below what would be needed for a weapon. With those conflicting signals, most outside experts believe Iran is trying to master the technology needed to build a nuclear weapon, if it later decides to actually take that step.

   I will be voting for Gary Johnson. I will not continue to be a part of the two party system that is failing us all! Will he win? No, because Americans are too narrow minded to see past their personal wants to look for something good for us all.

      Gary Johnson stands for a lot of good things. Too bad he couldn't build a following within the Republican party like Reagan did in the '70's - he'd have a better, ... I mean, ... a chance.

         Too bad the Republican party is stuck in the mud on foreign policy. Still dominated by war mongering neo-cons, no libertarian has a chance. And judging by how popular opinion is going, that means Republicans don't have a chance.

   I personally think there is going to be so much change in that time that it's impossible to tell exactly who will be president. I foresee, whatever happens, further violations of civil liberties and further intervention in the economy, along with more war. Neither party is going to diverge from that. but it will change the shape of society for the worse.
   
   Politics is dead, dead, dead. The time for real action, as opposed to passing responsibility to a politician, is now: act locally and think globally.

            It's a valid question given that the US constitution sates "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice".
            
            I think only a really conspiracy theorist would predict that Obama is planning to become an illegal dictator in 2016.

   In my opinion, the country will elect a Democratic president in 2016 because the GOP has painted itself into a tight corner, alienating large segments of the population. Hopefully, the Dems will also have a majority in the House and the Senate.

      When they reflect on this, Ralph, do you think it possible or probable that they might re-invent themselves as 'liberal' ,possibly gain votes from minorities but have a completely different agenda once elected? Or, am I just being paranoid?

         No  Hollie, many politicans claim a liberal agenda in order to appeal to younger people and minorities; however, once, they are elected, they revert to their origin plan.   Yep, have seen it many times.

   Democratic. Mainly for two reasons.
   
   1 - Unemployed people will continue to drop off of unemployment benefits, driving the unemployment rate down. This will be seen as 'success'.
   
   2 - Obamacare will cause a large shift from 40-hour weeks to <30-hour weeks, to avoid the costs of healthcare. We'll end up having more people working 2 jobs, or 3 jobs, to get in a full work-week, and these numbers will both reflect in the unemployment rate, and the new jobs creation rate.
   
   In other words, things will look like they are getting better, even if they aren't(just as they have been the last 2 years).
