Google ads vanish at Wizzley

   A couple of days back myself and many other writers got a shock at Wizzley to find the Adsense ads had vanished from all our Wizzles. This is being looked into by the ream there but it is very worrying and like many other people I have taken my Adsense code out of action there just in case.
   
   Until Adsense ads come back, if they come back, and hopefully they will, Chitika ads are showing instead.

      I just posted a short story over at Wizzley and discovered this. I have opted out of Chikita. Just as well I write there to try and build a reader base more than a $$$ base

      I have an account there, but I've never posted. I got an e-mail a couple of days ago where they were looking to see if any users had gotten an e-mail from AdSense because apparently either an ad placement or some other issue had caused them to lose their AdSense privileges. It said that AdSense might have mailed the user instead of Wizzley directly.

         Yesterday I got the same e-mail that Georgie describes above - I had actually forgotten that I even had an account at Wizzley, so it was kind of a surprise (I joined about a year ago, but never posted anything there).

   I never got that email but found out when I was using the site. I have moved a lot of my Idled hubs over there so it has become a site I have a lot of interest in now.

         I just took a look at your "website" link on your profile and it goes to an empty Wordpress blog.   You're missing an opportunity if you don't link to your Blogger blog on your profile, if it's the one that's got content on it.

         Blogs were once personal diaries, or a place to muse on any topic.  These days, you must pick one topic and stick to it faithfully.   Choose something that's dear to your heart, or you'll run out of material sooner than you think!    Also, be sure to pick a URL for the blog that's descriptive of the content, not something jokey. 
         
         If you want to write on a broad range of subjects, revenue-sharing sites like HubPages are built for that.  Blogs have to be focussed.

   I just dropped by Wizzley. There are AdChoices ads there. Faked me out at first. But when I hovered the link, it was Chitika. So, Chitika is displaying Google ads on Wizzley?

         I find it amusing that Wizzley can't display google ads on Wizzley, but Chitika can display google ads on Wizzley.

      Perhaps there will end up with even more if Adsense returns because you can have both types of ads running apparently!

      I think what's a happened at Wizzley is just the ad placement, not the number of ads. Apparently all websites are reviewed every couple of months and if they want the website owners to change something they give them so many days, but Wizzley didn't receive the email requesting them too, therefore, they didn't change anything.
      
      So now they've changed the placement and it's just a case of Google acknowledging that they have so ads are enabled again.

       Product articles do very well in terms of clicks and conversions. Recipe articles so, so. Just interesting content really and if you manage to receive a couple of EC awards you're on the front page which brings in a fair bit of traffic- Also, you can interlink to other articles (obviously) but also show your own related content in the sidebar.

    Umm.. Today I added adsense to my hub... but I don see any ad appearing on my latest hub. the other two hubs that I have previously posted seems to be fine...any suggestion?

    Adsense is back at Wizzley.   That's two long weeks without ad income for members - and it turns out the reason was content on one member's account, specifically photos which Adsense found unacceptable.
    
    I know people get frustrated when HubPages disables ads because of the content, and we all feel they're overly strict in their interpretation of the Adsense rules sometimes - but look what happens when a site is more lenient!  This experience makes me grateful that HubPages takes the attitude it does.
