So I have been on Hubpages for about three months now, and I am enjoying it a lot. I have been learning a bit here and there, but I am not sure about the best way to keep proceeding. I am very much a science person, and I have seen that science based articles do not always get the attention of the everyday reader.
Does anyone have any good tips for science articles?
Or any tips for a newbie?
    Thankx!

I'm so glad you're here and sharing science-related Hubs!

Checking out the works of cocopreme and TFScientist will give you some great inspiration- they write science-centric Hubs that also spark others' attention.

In short, choose Hubs with search-friendly titles, make them reader-friendly by making them visually-appealing and easy to skip around, and add lots and lots of attractive images. big_smile

    Don't hold your breath.

Well of course I won't do that. I am a human being, and as a human being I require a certain amount of oxygen, technically 550L per day, to survive. Holding my breath would just be counter productive.

WOW . . what kind of science? What area of science are you most curious about? What science writing is geting published and where?  These question might help you narrow it down a bit. There are many many many tyyes of science going on all over the world...What kind of article/story are you intendinng to write? You could use whatever science you know as facts & toics for mystery, fiction . . . etc.

I do agree that science (freakingly-technical) articles may not get much attention in the HP community, but look at the bigger picture here. You are aiming for the search engine traffic, and believe me, there's a lot of potential there.

Use the Google Keyword Tool to refine your articles in terms of SEO and keyword placement, and you'll reap the rewards in a couple of months. Lots of people search for such articles - yet not everyone writes on these topics, do they? There's your edge!

    Good luck! smile

Thanks for the advice, I admit that most of my hubs on science so far are a tad bit technical. I'll have to de-geek a bit for future articles lol.

Good point on the fact that there are not many science articles as others out there

Looking forward to reading your articles on scientific stuff.

By the way go slow on that Oxygen. Don't breathe it all up. We too breathe the same gas!   smile
