    Hi guys,

I wanted to find out what you find most effective when it comes to optimizing your already written articles. So after you have written a keyword optimized article what do you do next to ensure it gets ranked as high up as possible. After a fair bit of research I know of several options but I'm interested to hear from hubbers about their experience with what works and what doesn't. I have listed below some of the most common suggestions I dug up from my research, feel free to comment on the effectiveness of any of them or to add your own suggestions.

    - other web 2.0 sites
    - blog commenting
    - forum posting
    - web directories
    - article directories
    - youtube videoes
    - guest blogging
    - social media marketing

    cheers guys

In my case, social media marketing and youtube videos are the most effective. Currently, Tumblr, Facebook, Pinterest, and Youtube are providing me a lot of traffic ranging from 200-500 a day in total. I tried forum posting and blog commenting but I can't really figure out how it is done effectively. Or I'm just too lazy to search for relevant blogs and forums haha

The very best way to get links is through other sites linking to your content, rather than you creating links yourself. Although self-created links can help a bit, Google doesn't consider them as valuable as naturally occurring ones. There's a great article on this here: http://searchengineland.com/link-buildi … nks-123767

Personally, I have found Google Plus works well to drive traffic for me. I'm also just beginning to branch out into guest blogging.

You had researched but these are old age trick that just are myths in today's internet world, Google is going smarter and intelligent every day, these tricks have some value but are not so easy and not worth for Hubpages article. Let me explain one by one.

other web 2.0 sites - You have to get a back link from well established Web 2.0 site (blooger, wordpress etc) and you have to write a good quality 400-500 word article for that site to get a single quality back link that don't have much value to SERP. You can publish that 500 words article on hubpages that you wasted for a single back link( You need lots of quality back links to get ranked)

      - blog commenting - It's really difficult to find the blogs that offer "DoFollow" backlinks related to your niche, you have to hit your head 100 times to find that and most of the reputed blogs even do not accept your comments. Backlinks for new and low quality blogs are nothing more than a scam for Google.

      - forum posting - Google give no value to back links from forums, it is good for some referral hits for a day or couple.

      - web directories - Absolutely no value, Google ignore it as it was the easiest way to get unwanted back link and spamming. Same as forums.

      - article directories - Oh! It has some value and count as a quality back link. you need to write really a good quality article of 400-500 for that ( more more of quality that you publish as Hub)

      - youtube videoes - Did you try it? Just imagine, how much time it take to make your own video related to your article.

      - guest blogging - Again you have hit your head against wall 1000 times to search website that allows guest blogging and to get permission. And then you have to write a good quality article for them what they like, they can disapprove your guest post they don't like.

      - social media marketing - Yes, it better for instant traffic but it's don't help in SEO. Even it can mark as spam if is in excess.

Conclusion: - Back links are not as it was 2 years before. That time every back link from any source was counted buy now only quality back link are counted. Only back links from authority websites are counted ( like article directories, guest post etc) but just give a try then you will have idea how hard it is to get one quality back link.  Where as to improve Search Engine visibility you need lots of high quality back link.
For business website that give you enormous profit, it is worth to spent time and money for these techniques but for hub pages it's really waste. You can add 30-50 hubs in your account in the time you waste in trying these techniques.

On HubPages, A little eyword research and "On Page SEO" is enough to take your on top of Google Search.
I didn't read it in other articles but is my true and personal experience. Otherwise Just type "How to get rid of corns" in Google search and see the result. The article on top is just 2 months old and don't have a single back link or promotion from any source.

The article you read on internet about SEO are just to promote SEO services nothing else. Otherwise try these for a month and results will be in front of you.
