Kobe Bryant or Lebron James

I'm a big lakers fan, and I've always hated Lebron James with a passion. Over the years he has become a more evolved basketball player, but Kobe Bryant has continued to age so impressively that he rightfully gave himself a new nickname: Vino. I'm too biased to answer this one, so anyone out there without a dog in this fight, who would you rather have on your team for a seven game finals series? Kobe Bryant or Lebron James?

I would have kobe, because for me he is the one who deserve a comparison to MJ not Lebrom, because like Mj kobe carry the lakers on his shoulders to a 5 championship titles, but Lebron look for a team who can give it to him, he needs wade, and bosh before he won the coveted championship title. He left cleveland because he wants a title and cannot do it alone. I go for Kobe.

The remainder of this NBA season will be very interesting.

If LeBron doesn't lead the Heat to another title, he's a chump.

If Kobe doesn't lead the Lakers to at least a playoff spot and a few impressive wins, he's a chump.

        So we'll see.

They are off to a rough start you think they can reach the finals, and give te people a one hell of a showdown?

Very doubtful. If they even make the playoffs, I don't think they can put together enough good games to get through some really tough teams in the west.

tough call due to different eras. A 10 year difference basically. I'll pick LeBron for present day but after their careers are over it may be different if LBJ does not get more rings.
It's funny being a team game, all these greats needed a 2nd dominant player to win it all. MJ needed Scottie, Kobe needed Shaq (then Gasol), LeBron needs Wade. Magic needed Worthy.

Would you really trust Lebron James with the championship on the line? His clutch gene is in question...

No doubt Lebron James is the better player and athlete. He obviously has not had the better career than Kobe, but there are more aspects to Lebron's game that outweighs Bryant's. Kobe always had a better team surrounding him when he won most of his rings. That's why he wanted Shaq out of LA. He desired to show people his ability to win a championship without Shaq. Kobe was also only a pure scorer and never really showed his admiration to passing the ball. Lebron has a complete game (low post, mid range, short range). He also makes everyone around him better by passing the ball. He's amazingly quick and nimble for his huge stature. Lebron, up until his days with Miami had nothing around him in Cleveland.

Interesting analysis. Being a life-long Kobe fan, I kind of want to throw up all over it.

Kobe was a dominant defensive player in his prime! He could shut down almost anyone. He has also shown that he can be a terrific passer. Lebron had a lot of defensive help on his Cleveland teams.

LeBron has yet to prove he is clutch. He did win one last year, but he choked one away the year before.

I will say he is playing the best all around basketball right now that I've seen anybody play. If he can turn that into several more championships, he's the man.

LeBron sure came up clutch last night. 37 points and the winning basket with about 10 seconds to go against the Celtics.

Doing that last night is the next best thing to doing it in the playoffs.

last night too... I find myself rooting for the Celtics more and more as years go by (not when they play the lakers of course)

That was quite a performance, even though I didn't watch it, and I didn't want to either.

Lol. I didn't want to watch it either, but I couldn't help it since the outcome of the game was in doubt and I hoped the Celtics would win.

I am a 76ers fan, so my least favorite team is the Celtics.  I might even have been rooting for the Heat, despite how annoying they are.

Who do you think will stop the heat's streak!?!?!?! It is getting ridiculous!

I'll bet you all the money you have 100-1 odds it ain't gonna be their next one against LeBron's old team the Cavs.

I don't know.  Maybe the 76ers on their coming great run to make the playoffs, and amazingly win the NBA Championship.

Lebron is much younger. It's like comparing a banana you bought 7 days ago to one you just bought today. KB yrs - 34, LB - 28 yrs
He still has many years left. You can only wait until they are done. It's not like Bird & Magic in the same era. Vino will confirm this too. You can compare Durant and Lebron though. If Lebron had Kobe's cast of players, he would've won a championship or two at a young age too. Give me "Most Dominant Ever", clutch Horry, Fisher, and defensive Rick Fox in their primes vs. those Cavs teams.  Oh, and Phil Jackson too. Put Kobe on those Cavs teams instead of LeBron and what will you get.
KB has about 2 to 3 years left and Lebron has about 8 yrs left in my mind. If LBJ can't win 3 more titles, then I'd favor Kobe. As a teammate, though I'd pick LBJ any day vs. a ballhog and I am a Laker fan but there are Laker fans among us who don't like Kobe's ball hogging.

Ehh tough choice because I hate Lebron lol, but if I had to choose, I would have to go with Lebron. The guy is truly unstoppable and he's been proving it during the Heat's wining streak. Is there any player that can stop Lebron one on one? And even now Lebron is confident with his jump shot and isn't afraid to shoot it. The guy pretty much averages a triple double a game, 26 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, those stats are crazy. I can't see any other team winning the championship besides the Heat this year

You're probably right.  He's playing the best ball of his career.

Both are unstoppable offensively (so that's a tie. Defensively, I'd go with LeBron plus he's younger so he has quicker legs.
