Can the score change after editing if my hub is already been featured?

   Presently one of my articles (http://mistu4u.hubpages.com/hub/Tips-an … like-a-pro) has been featured in Hubpages. But I want to improve it still. So my question is after been featured, can the score change if I reedit it? Also, does "views" depend on the scores received by a hub? Thank you!

      @mistu4u Edited Hubs are put through the QAP process, so it is possible for the ratings to change for the Hub.  Usually, unless you change the Hub dramatically, then it will still be featured after the change.

      It's the opposite way around.  Scores have no influence on whether you get traffic, but if you get traffic, that will make your score go up.

   Hub scores change (go up and down) all the time regardless if you edit it or not. Just because you edit a hub doesn't mean its hub score will go up. It can go down. There is clear cut answer as to what hub score your hub will get after you edit it. You shouldn't focus too much on hub scores anyway. Focus on hub content and hub traffic.

   The Hub Score process is a closely guarded corporate secret, but I believe it works something like this:
   
   Once you hit the "Publish" button, your Hub falls down a large chute, spinning around and around, gaining speed as it plummets, until it finally splashes into a pool filled with Unicorn tears. Cheerful little Hub Gnomes race to the edge of the pool and reach in with butterfly nets to rescue the Hub before it sinks. They carry it to the drying room, where a gaggle of golden geese furiously flap their wings to speed up the process. Once dried, the Hubs are presented to the Hub Master, a curmudgeonly Ogre who rules over a multitude of maudlin and matronly minions. It is the job of the minions to sort everything into the proper bins. Dead mice, rancid food, old batteries and poetry go into one bin. Hubs about famous fictionalized Flemish flamenco dancers and personal memoirs go into another.
   
   Once the bins are full, the happy little Hub Gnomes gather in a circle and wait for the judging to begin. The Head Hubber randomly selects a pair of dice from the Drawer of Deciders and presents them to the Elf of Erudition. The E of E rolls the dice and counts the number of spots that are facing up. He selects a Wheel of Evaluation whose inventory number matches that of the number rolled.  A random lottery selects the lucky Hub Gnome who will spin the wheel. Once the wheel has settled on a number, a card is chosen from a face down deck of cards. The Hub Gnome grabs a Hub from the bin that matches the result of a complicated and highly secretive algorithm that incorporates all of the figures mentioned above, plus Avogadro's number, Copernicus' Letter, and Da Vinci's Doodle.
   
   The Elf of Erudition is then blindfolded and the Hub is hoisted high over his head. The room grows silent and the tension is palpable. Finally the E of E makes his declaration: "I don't know...fifty?"
   
   I may have missed a few of the minor points, but I think this is pretty close.

      @Bill Yovino..........this is possibly one of the funniest and most clever things I have ever read on hubpages!   Now that you have cleared up the mystery of hub scores, we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief.  Soooooo funny, you've made my day.  Thanks for sharing.

   I'm new here, so I don't have that much to lose.  I've published just under 20 hubs, all featured.  I've managed to perform unknown wonders that have reduced my profile score to zero.  But in terms of editing featured hubs, I have significantly edited several of my pieces and in every case the featured status has been unaffected.
