    Dear Hubpages,

I enhanced my summary in one of my hub. Then I noticed that when I googled it, the summary was the old one. However on the hub itself, the summary which I can see as the author, is updated.
How long will it  update in google??

    Thanks!

Changes will not update on Google until Google crawls the page again.  Paste your Hub URL into the Google search box and click on the 'cache.'  When the cache version opens, at the top of the page you will see the date Google last crawled your Hub.  For a small change like you describe, you just have to wait a while but eventually it will be changed.

If you put the URL of your Hub into Google, you will see two URLs.  If you click on the downward arrow next to the URL in green font, a little box will pop up that says 'cached.'  Click on that word and you will be taken to the cached page.

Open your hub, tap <<stats>> (it's next to <<edit>>), then choose <<search>>. There you can find out when your hub was crawled last time both by google and bing.

Thanks for pointing that out, Sam.  However, that won't tell us when the cache is updated.  For example, one of my Hubs shows a last crawl by Google on HubPages stats of three hours ago.  The Google search cache, however, remains at May 23rd.  So, until the Google cache shows a more recent date, the OP's revised description will not show on search results.

Writer Fox thanks for info, I didn't know that , but if you are right then... hubpages' crawl statistics are fake?.. :-O

Sam, I don't think they are fake at all.  It's just that Google does not update the information immediately when it crawls a page.  Try this on one of your Hubs.  For instance, on my Hub which I just described, when Google does update its index, it will probably show the last crawl date as today's date.

HubPages can tell from its server data when the GoogleBot drops by.
