Taking a Break From Hubpages

After the recent change made by Google, I'm feeling discouraged (not looking for any sympathy, mind you). My traffic is pretty much dead (I don't mean to complain because I know a good majority have been having trouble too) and I'm feeling burned out, too. Thankfully, I haven't lost my passion for writing, so I've taken up with Bubblews and reviving old stories from 2012 and earlier. I have the link to my Bubblews profile on my HP profile so if anyone cares to visit. Sorry to all of my current followers! Hopefully you understand. smile

Understandable.  I have taken a break from publishing new material here as well.  I have published some of the unfeatured material from here on my personal blog and I am getting more views on the blog than my combined views from hubs here on HP, lol.

I also have started writing some on Bubblews.  One thing to be said about that site is that it is a site that is more time consuming than HP.  Due to the social factor playing a big part in your income there, you have to be pretty active!

I will continue to hang out and see what happens here, at least keeping an eye out for any of my hubs that HP no longer wants, so I can round 'em up and move 'em out. smile

I agree that the site is really time consuming, its fun but I still prefer writing stuff on here, maybe its habit, but I love it. I am working on another hub as we speak, fingers crossed that it will come back up.

Good luck on the new hub and good luck overall on the views coming back to HP overall. smile

Yes the site is too time consuming. if i am not active for two hours, i see only a few cents increase, but the time i am active on the site, i can see an increase by dollars. If anyone wishes to follow me there, follow me with 'younghopes' username

Christ, she will need 'all the best' applied if she thinks Bubblews will ever be better than Hubpages!!

Short-term, get it while it is going folks.

Izzy, I never said anything about that site being better than Hub pages. On the short term, I agree wholeheartedly with what you say. This break is only temporary, mind you.

Everyone, thanks for being so understanding. I'll still be leaving comments and reading hubs. I'm just so burned out and bummed out. Like I said, its temporary. smile

Well, I just returned from a nice bit of a read on the Warrior Forum... and what they said about Hubs... er... well... anyhooo. Just glad I don't work for the firm of Hub Pages. They really need to take things in hand here. There has to be a better way.

Good luck smile Have you read Cardia's hub on SEO for creative writing? Generally it's not an easy way to make money on rev share sites.

No. I'll have to do that. I have known that creative writing doesn't do well. I was here just to share my stuff knowing that fact.
