Problems with Paypal

   Recently my hubpages account reached over $50 and hubpages tried to send it to Paypal but they refused to accept it although I have an account, Paypal informed me that they would only accept payments from e-Bay. What kind of arrangement does hubpages have with Paypal, surely they can find a better way of making payments, perhaps Payoneer or something similar, otherwise it would appear that my earnings are forever to remain in limbo, what's the point in that?
   Has anybody else had a similar problem and do you think that hubpages should have a choice of payment methods? I have no problem with Google, they send cheques.

      Sounds to me like you need to get in touch with Paypal and find out why this has happened. Are they waiting on info from you?

      All I can see on our end is that Paypal returned the payment as failed.
      Unfortunately, we don't have any more insight into the issue other than that.
      You will need to contact PayPal support in order to resolve the issue.

   Oh wow, that is extremely weird. I've never had a single problem receiving payments to my Paypal account.
   
   I wouldn't mind a choice of payment methods, if only for the power of choice and for those people such as yourself having trouble with PP.

   Susana S - Paypal was my first response but after having sent them 2 requests for reasons why, the first was ignored and the second did not clear up anything, just gave their usual speel that I should open my account but it is already open, just that they will not accept any payments going into it, no explanation. It was Hubpages that informed me there was a problem otherwise I wouldn't have known. It is strange that twice now, I have had e-mails incorrectly stating that I had purchased something from my Paypal account, which they did of course acknowledge their mistake when I pointed them out to them but what I don't understand is that if I can't even make transactions from my account, how can they supposedly think someone else did?

      What kind of account do you have?
      
      Have you confirmed your email address?
      
      Does your account have a receiving limit or block on it?
      
      When you log in to Paypal on the right of the screen, is there anything listed, where it says "To do" ?
      
      Unfortunately, Paypal's help pages are not available right now, so I can't get any other info/ideas.

         I've never had problems either with pay pal maybe something isn't set up right. Are they thinking you're selling a book or something such as selling one on ebay? Perhaps they misunderstand what you're trying to do.

      This sounds a bit like you have your account set to "personal" (no business use) when it needs to be "premier"?

   Matthew Meyer - Paypal have come back to me. It would appear that the Belize Bank will not verify cards for Paypal. I have had this confirmed by a friend who apparently had the same problem with the Belize Bank / Paypal. As Paypal will only accept VISA cards verified by a persons foreign bank or a US Bank Account this cannot somewhat limit participation by foreign applicants. As Hubpages is a truly International concept, could they perhaps consider other forms of payment otherwise my funds may continue to increase yet stay untouched at Hubpages forever, as may others.
   I receive funds from Google by cheque and from oDesk via Payoneer Mastercard perhaps Hubpages could consider something similar,
