. ''Do ye not see that Allah has subjected to your (use) all things in the heavens and on earth, and has made his bounties flow to you in exceeding measure, (both) seen and unseen? Yet there are among men those who dispute about Allah, without knowledge and without guidance, and without a Book to enlighten them!'' [ CHAPTER LAQMAN VERSE 20] IN THIS VERSE QURAN IS GIVING STATEMENT THAT ALL THINGS OF EARTH AND SKY ARE SUBJECTED TO MAN , EVEN 1400 YEARS AGO. THIS IS THE CONCEPT OF DOMINANCE OF MAN OVER UNIVERSE . .'' O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!''[ CHAPTER AL REHMAN VERSES 33 ]IN THIS VERSE QURAN IS DESCRIBING THE POSSIBILITY OF MAN OF GOING OUT OF EARTH AND HEAVEN IF HE HAS AUTHORITY OR POWER,  . ''It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law)''.[ CHAPTER YASEEN VERSE 40] HERE QURAN SAYS THAT SUN AND MOON ARE MOVING IN SPECIFIC WAYS , ORBITS , WHICH IS DISCOVERED LATER .  .'' Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge.'' [ CHAPTER YASIN 36]HERE QURAN SAYS THAT PLANTS  HAVE PAIRS LIKE HUMAN BEINGS , THIS IS LATEST DISCOVERY .

Have you ever stopped to think about those verses you spout as being evidence?

      1. Where are the zones of heaven? But thanks for the permission.

      2. No mention of the earth's orbit or rotation? Just the Sun and Moons orbit being responsible for night and day. I hate to break this to you but the earths rotation gives us night and day. What you are claiming as miraculous information is nothing but a misunderstanding of our solar system.

      3. Not all things on earth are in pairs, but I guess your God was unaware of that. What if I was able to find one thing that doesn't come in pairs.

      1. gravity
      2. Bdelloid Rotifers
      3. Cnemidophoras
      4. bacteria
      5. fungi imperfecti

Would you like me to go on?

Rad Man ,''horizon (or skyline) is the apparent line that separates earth from sky, the line that divides all visible directions into two categories: those that intersect the Earth's surface, and those that do not. At many locations, the true horizon is obscured by trees, buildings, mountains, etc., and the resulting intersection of earth and sky is called the visible horizon. When looking at a sea from a shore, the part of the sea closest to the horizon is called the offing.[1] The word horizon derives from the Greek "ὁρίζων κύκλος" horizōn kyklos, "separating circle",[2] from the verb ὁρίζω horizō, "to divide", "to separate",[3] and that from "ὅρος" (oros), "boundary, landmark".[4]'' [Wikipedia]

Rad Man, “It is He Who created the Night and the Day,
and the sun and the moon: All (the celestial bodies)
swim along, each in its rounded course.”
(Qur’an 21:33),here,Quran is referring the relationship of day and night with with sun and moon eg, day  starts with sun and night with moon, and not describing the causal relationship for the same.

You want Quran to know this much? Can't you just look up and see? And what has moon got to do with starting night [it is the earth's surface moving away from sun]? Did you mean moonlight?

What has night to do with the moon?  That should be very obvious; the moon is in the night sky exactly one half the time.  The other half it has "caught up with the sun" and is in the day sky.

I should have been specific, "what has moon got anything to do with creation of night(starting night)" for he was saying that moon causes night ["day  starts with sun and night with moon"]. There can be night without moon and only because earth got a satellite that there is moon at night, if we had no satellite there wouldn't have been any moon at night. And anybody can know that sun causes day, quran is not needed but it needs education to know that moon is not the cause of night and according to quran (his version) 'moon starts night'. Saying moon starts night may be common sense, but not science as he claims.
              Thank you.

Ahhh, no the Quran was wrong on both the reason for night and the reason for day. Firstly the orbit of the sun has nothing to do with day, the rotation of the earth does and that was not mentioned because he didn't know the earth moves in any direction. As for the orbit of the moon being responsible for night, well that's just ridiculous isn't it?

Tsk tsk.  Such ignorance is hardly reasonable in today's world.  We all know that as the moon comes across the night sky it gobbles up the light, leaving only darkness and evil behind it.

We can even see it chomp on the sun itself sometimes, whenever it can catch up.  While it has never been able to permanently destroy the sun, the moon does periodically take it unto itself to eat the sun itself.

Well, now you know.  Ancient wisdom is always preferable to new-fangled truths that no one understands.  God made the moon hungry; that's all we need to know.

BuddiNsense, you could not understand my point of view, I clarified to Rad Man that quran in these verses is not stating any where that day and night are result of movement of sun and moon,Quran is stating this scientific fact that all heavenly bodies including earth [ Although quran has not mentioned earth specifically, ''all'' includes every planet and star etc] are moving in their specific ways ,orbits, therefore,,they never collide and destroy, day and night have been mentioned as son appears in day and moon at night, therefore, day and night have been referred with the reference of sun and moon.

All includes asteroids and meteors, yes?  That never collide?  And the moon appears only at night?

I'd have to say that you need to put a little time into understanding even the basics of celestial mechanics.  Pull your head out of the Quran and point your eyes towards the sky - it is a much better source of truth.

Which is not true. For a start, the moon often appears in the day -- I am not sure how you missed it.

'It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law)''.

Where do you get that from that the above verse? It clearly references that the sun is responsible for the day (NOT SO) and the moon is alway at night (NOT SO). It nowhere mentions any other planets, stars and or the earths orbits (which you seem to say it applies to all celestial bodies). It clearly states that he moon cannot outstrip the Day which is also false and the moon is seen durning the day half the time.

Celestial bodies do not swim, that is false. Swimming is the propelling through water using limbs. Celestial bodies do not propel themselves through space.

The moon can be seen in daytime for almost 2 weeks of every month, hence the Quran is wrong about the moon starting the night.

Islam is an interesting rip off off Christianity and Judaism. One more book used to attempt to enslave the masses through perpetuating a belief that a higher power wants us to remain blind and backward. Tied to an ancient cosmic view. Judaism evolved long ago, by virtue of its adherents accepting reality., Christianity, for the most part, has bowed to reality.  I don't know a great deal about Islam. But, I do know what I've seen and heard of its ways prohibits any ability to entertain the idea that the writings within the Quran are divinely inspired.

None of the assertions offered are original (they are rip offs of observations documented in similar manner in the Old Testament), nor are the statements compelling. They are conclusions anyone might come to if they possessed a belief in God coupled with a lack of understanding of the world we live in

Attempting to imply that those words prove knowledge assumes everyone is going to take a leap of faith in order to agree. I don't see how anyone might assume such a miracle  could occur.

In the case of this particular verse what they do is convince people that the orbit of the sun that is talked about is it's obit around our galaxy and they end with how could Mohammad have known that? But if one can at all read one would understand that the Quran was saying is the suns orbit is responsible for day and night, in other words the sun orbits around the earth which no mention of the orbit or rotation of the earth being mentioned.
