I'm getting a message saying that my hub contains duplicate content. However, I have run the content through copyscape and plagspotter. Copyscape come up with 0%. Plagspotter comes up with 67% but the content that is duplicate is content which is added to my hub via the HP system.

ie: "All Rights Reserved | Simplify Theme by: | Powered by: Send to Email Address Your Name Your Email Address Post was not sent - check your email addresses! Sorry, your blog cannot share posts by email"

This content comes up all over the place but its beyond my control. Anyone else have this problem?

Correction, this content is added by my WP blog. I had to put it there temporarily in order to test it through copyscape and plagspotter. So therefore, once thats taken out of the equation, i'm left with 0% on both.

If you have placed the same content on your blog, Hubpages will mark it as duplicate again.

I have a question to this old comment.  At the risk of being stupid, how different does it have to be.  Obviously cutting and pasting isn't allowed, but if I can't write about something here and then on my blog too, or a short in bubblews etc, then this seems like a detriment to writing anything else.  Where is the line?

My mistake. I put the post into my blog temporarily in order to test it through copyscape and plagspotter. It did not exist on my blog before testing and has been removed once again. So, once that context is removed from the results, that brings it down to 0%.

I have yet to see what HP has to say about it or if they can provide some proof and stop being so vague with everyhing.... 72hrs.....................

I dunno, so far i'm not to happy with the system here. I don't see yet why one couldn't just monetize his/her own blog the same way and cut out the middle-man.

Give it a couple of days, ContriveIT- the duplicate warnings should go away after that. smile

Though... is the Hub we're talking about "Top antivirus experts warn of rise in android smartphone virus threats."? If so, it looks like a lot of the content triggering the warning (not all) is on Zimbio.com. That's not the blog you're talking about, is it?

        Thanks,
Yes, I'm referring to the "Top antivirus experts..." article. I looked around zimbeo  They touch on the subject here and there in various articles but nothing as detailed or similar to my article.

I'm wondering if it also might trigger duplicate content warnings to have the same content posted in Facebook with more than just the snippets of text from a link?  When I searched for some of my hubs that were stolen, some of the search results popped up FB pages that were used to get people to link to the sites that stole the content.
