Hi all. My name on hubpages is charlie which is my dogs name i started writing under,
I also had the same name on google plus but a few months ago i changed my name on google plus to my real name Stuart.
Since this my google author ship is not working fully for this site,
I know if you do a data structure test Rel author mark up on my hubs it shows some parts are but for the full benefits google prefer your name to be the same,
So basicly i would like to change my name on here i know in previous posts it says you can not and have to delete your account, if this is still true what is the best way to transfer all hubs and start again.
All i want changed is the the By line part that shows up. not my url is this possable?
Thanks Stuart / Charlie
Click to 'Edit Profile' and you will see a box where you may enter your real name. So, put the name you want in there. Be sure to save the change.
Charlie/Stuart,
Have you considered placing your byline on each hub to indicate that each is your creation?
There is no mechanism to change your subdomain.

I don't think closing your HubPages account and creating a new one will have any impact on Google+ authorship.

Thanks mathew, I have changed my name back to charlie on g+ to see if it makes any big change, I will see how it go`s.
I want to get it running smoothly before the update in a month or two.
Thanks again
So long as your Google account is under your real name and your authorship is linked to HP, your real name will show up in search. My HP name is Cardisa but my real name shows up under my articles, blogs and websites.
Hi writer fox and erin
Yes i have got both things done you suggested ,
I created the google linked by line and added to some hubs a few weeks ago to see if that way would work,
It dose help, but not totally
I think deleting seems to be the way forward.

Looks like Google made another algo change earlier this week. My traffic rose about 25% on my main HP account around this time, so I'm guessing the update was the cause. My traffic is still low by historical standards (down by more than a third from the start of the year), but I...

To prepare for AuthorRank by claiming authorship for my content with Google I am unable to have a single name of ptosis with Google + and the name MUST match the Google+ in order to claim authorship.I believe that this is the major problem with Hubpages is the inability to keep up with the...

Was reading on some other read when a fellow hubber said that because of Hubpages she had a identity and one could google her name to chekc that out (that was Marisa Wright) and yes, there she was !! All over the first page. So I tried it too First went with my username 'Abhishek87' and my Twitter...

Hello fellow hubbers, I have 2 questions:1. I have decided to reveal my "real" name here on Hubpages, but I haven't found the setting yet which allows me to put my name, like some hubbers have done, on their profile page, next to their pen name. For example, fellow hubber billybuc has his...

This might be a complete co-incidence, but I switched to the new profile a couple of days ago, and today Google is pretending it doesn't know me. Hubs that ranked on the first page for main keyword are not found in the first 10 pages. Even more worrying, I can't find them in Google even...

I haven't tried to have a plagiarized page removed from Google search since the change to the niches. How do we prove ownership if we no longer have access to webmaster tools for our pages? My recent request was rejected on this basis:'Thanks for reaching out to us.It is unclear to us whether or...
